Ashton Kutcher Twitter Message, Two and a Half Men Deal Confirmed! Thoughts?

Two and a Half Men fans may have mixed reactions over the decision to cast Ashton Kutcher as the replacement for Charlie Sheen.

Ashton Kutcher – who has one of the largest fan followings on his Twitter account – proved exactly why fans should follow him when he tweeted a hint of the news earlier last night.

‘What’s the square root of 6.25” he tweeted – with the obvious answer (for those of you reaching for your calculators) being 2 ½.

There’s no word on whether Ashton will play the role of Charlie Harper (which would just be bizarre, if you ask me) or perhaps some long, lost younger brother of Allen Harper (played by Jon Cryer) but it has been confirmed that he WILL be on the show.

Reports reveal that the show plans to focus more on Jon’s character when it returns, although I’m sure Ashton will provide a great dynamic with both Allen and Jake (played by Angus T. Jones).

So far, Charlie Sheen has yet to comment on the decision to have Ashton replace him.

Other actors who were in the running for the role include Hugh Grant (who turned it down), Jeremy Piven, Rob Lowe, Woody Harrleson and John Stamos.

I’m actually very curious to see what fans of the show think of the news…

What are your thoughts? Was Ashton Kutcher the right choice for Two and a Half Men?
