Channing Tatum Stripping Past Sparks Role for Alex Pettyfer (Watch!)
The Beastly star Alex Pettyfer just got a new role as a stripper in a movie. If that wasn’t enough, he is playing a young Channing Tatum in his new movie based on his life.
Now I understand when Eminem did it – his life was interesting.. but Channing Tatum? His male stripper turned movie star life didn’t seem to warrant a movie but apparently Steven Soderbergh thought differently. His new movie dubbed “Magic Mike” mirrors Channing Tatum’s own life.
The movie is said to be about a 19 year old dancer who is a bit of a hustler on and off the stage. What other movie played a big role in the inspiration of the film? Saturday Night Live.
While promoting the movie “Dear John” in 1999, the actor revealed that he worked as a dancer in a Florida male revue “Male Encounter” under the pseudo name Chan Crawford.
