Jon Stewart Bill O’Reilly Showdown: Who’s Side Are You On (Watch)?!
Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly have never seen eye-to-eye but their recent debate over the decision to have rapper Common perform a poem reading at the White House last week has taken their rivalry to a whole new level.
O’Reilly, Conservative, claimed that the rapper glamorizes violence and cop-killing in his lyrics and therefore had no right to perform at the White House.
Stewart quickly fought back with “It’s a poetry slam. Who gives a crap?” to which O’Reilly replied “A lot of people do.”
Stewart then stated that the lyrics of songs are not always meant literally and politely explained that when The Weather Girls sing “It’s Raining Men,” it’s not really precipitation of males.” LOL.
Overbearing O’Reilly had another political figure backing him as well: Sarah Palin. Palin called the invite “so lacking of class and decency,” – a bold statement for someone who lacks in both of those areas as well.
But enough with the back and forth, take a look at the video of the debate below and let us know who’s side you’re on…
