Maksim Chmerkovskiy Quitting Dancing with the Stars: Says He’s Drained!

Dancing with the Stars fans may be upset that they no longer have their favorite show to watch two days a week but they’re going to be downright devastated to learn that one of the most popular and entertaining professional dancers on the show may not return to the DWTS dance floor next season!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy – the Ukranian dancer who also played the role of Bachelor for the Ukranian version of ABC’s hit show – says he’s exhausted and may retire from reality TV for good:

“It takes a lot out of you. When you invest that much of you into something that’s supposed to be just work you [can] get misinterpreted. I don’t know [if I'm coming back]. We’ll see. Right now, I’m drained.”

Maks, like many Dancing with the Stars pros over the years (Julianne Hough and her brother Derek to name a few), says he’s looking for other opportunities and reveals that he’d like to open his own dance studio – cute!

Fans of the show need not worry too much about Maks’ statement about quitting, he’s likely just tired from an intense season. Besides, he quit before and returned back to the dance floor – who says he won’t do the same thing again.

The question is, will you still watch Dancing with the Stars if the loveable Maks isn’t on it?

  1. I hope Max doesn’t quit, although I totally understand. He is the best dancer on that show. I think he should have won several times. I’ll have to think whether I’ll watch the show if Max isn’t on it. Either way, I wish him the best. He is terrific!!!

Please don’t quit! I understand you’re exhausted and I’m sure more than a little disappointed not coming in first. But you are first in my book and are for so many others. I fell in love with dance when I happened to flip channels on the boob tube and found you three years ago. Do to physical problems, I’m unable to dance. Please dance for those of us who can’t. I saw a side of you this year that I hadn’t in the past. You really connected with Kirstie. You are an incredible dancer and choreographer, but you are more than that to me. You’re dance.
I don’t see any reason to watch DWTS if you are not there. I’ve never seen such magic until I saw you dance. Please come back for me.
My heart is available if you need to fall in love. :)
God Bless you in what ever you decide.
