The Voice TV Show: Emily Valentine Goes Home – Did she Deserve it? (Watch!)

Of all the battles on The Voice TV Show thus far, Curtis Grime and Emily Valentine have to be the most interesting. The two seem from totally different worlds but they make the perfect couple at the same time!

The rehearsals start with the two working together on their battle song. You immediately get that feeling that something is going on between the two.

When  Country Boy Curtis was interviewed, he seemed to hint that there was a relationship between the two: “Me and Emily have gotten pretty close, you know, we have become pretty good friends over the course of, you know, spending three weeks with somebody and this is just one of those places where there’s one winner and there’s one loser so it’s going to suck having to send somebody home that we’ve been hanging out with.”

Rocker Emily Valentine oozed with sticky sweet teenage angst it seemed.. “When Curtis is singing it’s hard not to lose yourself in his cute inflections and in his accent so it’s going to be hard to battle him..”

Before the battle he even mentions that she has a “crush” but that he wasn’t giving up his shot for a girl. The battle started and it was very clear that Curtis was the better performer

Watch the battle below:

The battle went very well although Emily was definitely very shaky at the beginning. Curtis was stronger, but the song did play to his strengths not Emily’s. So what was the Shocker of the night?

THEY KISSED! In front of everyone to see! It was very cute. It happened at the end of their performance. It was very unexpected  since during the song it seemed as though Curtis was completely ignoring her. Definitely a neat little twist though.

What did you think of the twist? Did you think Emily Valentine deserved to go home?
