Emily Maynard, the woman chosen by Brad Womack in last season’s episode of The Bachelor, has become a focal point of this season of The Bachelorette – even though she has nothing to do with the show.
So why is Emily’s name being brought up so much on Ashley Hebert’s season?
Last night, some of the guys had the chance to roast Ashley during a sold-out comedy show. Ashley’s biggest insecurity coming on the show was that the bachelors would be hoping for Emily and would be disappointed when they realized she was the one handing out the roses. William stood on stage and basically told the crowd (and the millions of people watching at home) that all of the guys were hoping for Emily or Chantal instead of Ashley. Needless to say, this made Ashley hysterically upset.
The next morning, one of Ashley’s favorite bachelors – Bentley Williams – made it very clear he was hoping for Emily to be the Bachelorette. He said that Ashley couldn’t compare to Emily and therefore did not meet his requirements in what he is looking for in a wife. Then, he left the show.
Ashley was heartbroken.
Clearly, Bentley has a thing for Emily. He has not stopped talking about her since he walked out of the limo. The question is, are the feelings mutual? Everyone knows that the rocky relationship between Emily and Brad has come to a standstill – who will she end up dating next?
Will Emily leave Brad to be with Bentley?
If Bachelor producers were smart, they would make Emily the next Bachelorette and put Bentley on the show as well – now that would be a lot of drama and probably bring in great ratings!

The fact that Bentley is getting so much attention is a little sick. He is clearly a psychopath and last night’s episode was incredibly hard to watch. I felt that Ashley was being victimized and the producers just stood by and watched. Sick Sick Sick.

Bentley is every girls worst nightmare, not only is it a constant mind game to be dating, trying to understand what the other person is thinking, I so often have to tewll myself Im thinking too much and to try and tell myself that men do say it like it is, I should take them for face value. Bentley is exactly why I am SO skeptical of the men I meet!!! I think it should be illegal to be so incredibly disgustingly manipulative.

This show is obviously scripted, stop living in a fantasy dream and go outside and fight with a retail clerk. That is your agenda and true destiny.

I have watched the show from the start. This will probably be my last time. A strange resemblance physically to Brad? I think so. My thoughts go to the great young men who are there for all the right reasons. Take her off, send her to counseling, bring in a replacement and we’ll all continue to enjoy the show.
between ‘you’re all retards’ and ‘a fan’s’ comments I think we get the picture that the producers of the show exploited Ashley which isn’t uncommon in reality TV but where is the line? a few seasons ago we might have seen a guy like this asked to leave. I think she will need some counseling after this as she has been severely manipulated by by multiple psychopaths involved with the show.

The producers also showed all the women out there the real Bentley. I can’t imagine any quality women would be interested in dating him. Women with any class will be running the other way. I think Bentley just made his own bed!

I think that Bently is a sorry excuse for a man. As for Emily she should wake up and go back to Brad. I know she wanted her own bachelorette show but she has a great man that wants her already and sounds like is willing to do whatever it takes to be with her. Although every story has another side. Do we really know what Brad is like or does Emily deserve better?
Bentley is some smug punk kid and he’s 28 years old. I feel sorry for his daughter that she has such a loser for a father, and for all of the gullible, insecure women that buy his act. That tool needs to have subtitles stamped on his forehead at all times because I could never make out a single word that mumbling F*cktard said. I don’t know if he realized the Bachelorette wasn’t a ventriloquists’ audition.
As for Ashley, I feel bad for her because her insecurity renders her stupid and probably unable to find true happiness. She’s always going to chase the guy that she doesn’t think she deserves. She needs to grow up a lot.

Ummm I totally agree I haven’t watched this season at all i’ve seen stuff online so I know pretty much whats been going on but this bently dude is pretty much right on. Emily is Tom Brady and Ashley is Kevin Kolb.
I think seeing how Emily Maynard thinks Bentley is a douchebag it would be a great idea for her to be the next one and for Bentley to be one of the bachelors. I believe Bentley is so stupid that he would still go on the show in hopes of meeting her and winning her heart. Emily should stand there as he gets ready to anxiously come out of the limo then decide to not met him. Hahaha that would be for all the women everywhere. Yes, do it Emily!

funny, i was just thinking that this morning. i think that would definitely be a ratings grabber. i can’t help but watch more intently than any other bachelorette season so far because of bentley. yeah, hes a real douche but its great television and the producers know it. i would love to see emily come back as the bachelorette and even though i don’t like bentley, i would still love to see him on the show. lets just be honest and say that it would be a little boring if all the guys were nice.

I mean, let’s face it- there has to be be one psycho path on each season to keep the viewers entertained and this season the bachelorette producers hit the jackpot with bentley. I would not watch Emily was the Bachelorette. No way. I was not too convinced buy her sweet persona and her hanging on to her lost love. I don’t want a repeat where she is still clinging to the past while being wooed by 25 guys. It’s a waste of time.
I watched Brad’s sesson and now im watching Ashley’s….I liked Ashley on Brad’s show but I loved Emily and her daughter she was so down to earth and pretty and everything and Brad made the right chocie when he picked Emily. but Emily is not the Bachelorette Ashely is sooo all the guys need to stop tripin over Emily b/c she has a man! Bentley need to stop tripin over Emily b/c shes engaged! Bentley had his chance with his first wife and he blew it sooo no more going back now. UGH he makes me sooo mad. I hope Ashley picks J.P I love him they are soo cute together!
