Adele Ordered by Doctor to Stop Singing – For How Long?
After being forced to postpone her North American tour earlier this month, Adele has now been ordered by doctors to stop singing for at least a month. She has even been ordered to avoid talking if she can while she recovers from laryngitis.
On Adele’s official website she wrote, “I’m really frustrated. I was hoping with a weeks rest I’d be better to sing again straight away. However there is absolutely nothing I can do but take the doctors advice and rest some more. I’m so sorry.”
Smoking seems to be attributed to her laryngitis, but she has not been able to curb the habit. A source in News of the World has this to say about Adele’s voice:
“Adele’s voice is very special. But if she continues to abuse it in the way she has, then she could lose it completely. The problem is that she’s now back in London and seeing her mates like the comedian Alan Carr, and all she wants to do is have a gossip with them.”
We hope she gets better! The world needs more of Adele!
