Farrah Fawcett’s Step-Daughter Bashed on CNN to Promote Reality TV Show?

Ryan O’Neal was interviewed last night on CNN’S Piers Morgan and there were some serious accusations thrown around that sparked some controversy and made other viewers just scratch their head in confusion.

O’Neil made it very clear that the relationship between him and his daughter is nonexistent after claims that she faked her suicide attempt and caused Farrah’s cancer.

“What bothers me the most is that there was turmoil during my love affair with Farrah. A lot of it caused by my family, by my kids. All of them. Particularly Tatum. That I just think that if she had never met us, would she still be alive today?

“Because nobody knows what causes cancer, do they really? And she didn’t smoke. And she didn’t drink. She exercised every day. And she believed in her good health. And then we came along. The four of us. And gradually she got weaker. I don’t know. I think it’s highly possible. I wasn’t able to straighten out the mess that we were in and we sucked her in.”

Ryan O’Neil’s love affair with Farrah Fawcett was and on and off again relationship that lasted years right up to her death. He has four children, only one of which with Fawcett (Redmond James O’Neal). The others were Tatum O’Neil and Griffin O’Neal with Joanna Cook Moore and Patrick O’Neal with Leigh Taylor Young.

For Ryan to insinuate that Tatum is to blame for her stepmother’s death is just so uncalled for especially to the media. Maybe the reason for all this family stress is because Ryan can’t seem to keep his mouth shut about his family when he gets in front of the camera?

My guess is because the two are trying to promote their new reality series: Ryan & Tatum: The O’Neals a reality tv show that will follow the obvious disfunction between the two. Tatum has already written an autobiography detailing the emotional abuse she suffered as Ryan’s child. Either way, this family’s drama has surpassed anything normal that’s for sure.

What do you think – Was Ryan O’Neil actually serious or was he just  trying to stir up controversy for his new reality show series.

  1. Gee Ryan, Maybe she was stressed because you BEAT HER FACE IN!!!!!!

  2. George Vreeland Hill says:

I watched Ryan O’Neal blaming his daughter Tatum for possibly causing Farrah’s death.
That was a terrible thing to say.
Tatum in no way caused Farrah to have cancer and die.
Ryan is a moron who needs to shut up.
Farrah is probably looking down at Ryan from Heaven and thinking to herself … “Why did I go with him?”

  3. I found it very difficult to watch the show last night as I sensed that Ryan O’Neal is truly not the same man that I followed thoughout his career years ago. I believe that he is very fragile and has lost himself somehow with the problems and hatred that has taken over in his family. He definitely is a “broken sole” and in my heart I feel that if his life doesn’t change soon, he will become another statistic of many that just couldn’t turn things around. I prayed for him last night and hopefully others did the same. It would be such a shame if friends and loved ones could not intervene to lead him down the road to recovery.

    • I agree 100% with everything you said, S. Pucci. His obvious fragility saddened me and I, too, prayed for him and his family last night. I also watched Tatum’s interview with Piers and I don’t know what happened in that family but, whatever it is, I pray that they can resolve their issues and enjoy the closeness and happiness that every family deserves.

  4. Ryan has always been and always will be a no-talent, big-mouthed, drug/alcohol addled moron. He never should have been allowed to associate with any child especially his own. Even though Farrah’s death was tragic, she was every bit as irresponsible and moronic as O’Neal -to bring another child into that hell-hole. They should both have been shot.

  5. I am an anal cancer survivor. Ryan O’Neal is an idiot. God bless his pathetic soul and the souls of his poor children.
