No elimination was as disappointing as Xenia’s elimination tonight. Although Dia Frampton deserves to be there, there is no doubt. America (and Canada) is JUST not read to say goodbye to her.
Here are some of fans comments we have already recieved:
Irsa: Im so saaaaaaaaaaaad that Xenia had to go. This is such a unique voice, she is so special and at the same time so young… We all know she has a future.
She didnt won, but boy…., her artistic name should be Xenia – The Voice-
———————————————
Jill: Xenia has that ‘one in a million’ quality to her voice that makes me want to listen to how she makes each song so uniquely her own. She is gifted and gives depth to well written lyrics. Music studios should be competing to sign her and I will be waiting to purchase every single CD. Dia is a wonderful performer and certainly ready for the stage but it is Xenia who will become legendary. Xenia’s time has come. Her fans don’t want to wait until she is older, we want to hear that lovely evocative voice now!

Bethany Purk: man . im so heartbroken . Xenia was my absolute favorite and to see her leave made me sad. I know that dia had a strong voice and everyone loved her but xenia was amazing. she overcome everything and her voice is so unique.
————————————————
Margie: I was heartbroken. Xenia has a very unique and gifted “voice”, hence the title of the show! I really was hoping to see her take the win all the way. Somebody better get her a contract soon!! With a voice like that, she has a future.

How did you feel about Xenia’s Elimination tonight?

I’m glad Dia advanced. Her voice is sooo much better. I thought Xenia was very pitchy.
Xenia was my pick- I don’t want to even watch the show anymore-
I hope she makes it BIG- I cant wait to buy all of her music!
My comments exactly. The show just isn’t the same without her. Her voice is unique. I look forward to buying her music.
she was fabulous it takes alot of guts to stand up there in front of hundreds of people . she deserved to stay as lon g as sher did and she will definatly rise again! we havent seen the last of her
Xenia had – by far – the most unique voice on the show. When she gets over her jitters a little more, she will be fabulous!! We will all hear from her again – and you will recognize her voice right away!!! And – by the way – I downloaded 2 songs that she sang that I had never heard before and I loved!! Listen to them everyday and I have more than 5,000 songs to choose from. So a big thank-you for that!!!!
I soo agree ,,,everybody sounds the same these days. How nice when it will be as u said when she makes it. And she’ll probably go farther than the winner…….
Xenia looks very uncomfortable on stage. She has a very small range. When she tries to sing anything out of that extremely small range, she goes out of tune. Her voice has a unique color, but it is weak, she has no control over it, and has no stage presence. If she can strengthen her voice and stage presence, perhaps she can perform someday. But that will take years of work and practice. In a few years, maybe she will have improved enough to try singing as a career. I’m not too hopeful though. She doesn’t seem like a performer to me.
I love both girls! I am so overly emotionally invested in Team Blake it’s almost ridiculous. It was so bad that I couldn’t vote for either one, and I wish they could BOTH take the victory together. What a great team, and I know that Dia will win the competition, and Xenia will get an amazing deal soon. Both so talented!
I was sad to see Xenia leave too. She has a sweet spirit and a great style that is unique and easily recognized as her own. I think she will do well !! : )
Thank God….what was Blake thinking.
Xenia–Was and is the BEST talent in my mind and can hardly wait to buy any song of hers!!!
Just a Jewel.
Lots of luck,
Richie
I think the above comments overlook the way artists, like Xenia, who have unusual phrasing and voice quality, communicate something to their audience beyond pure musicality. It is what made Cee Lo call her an ‘old soul.’ There is an immense beauty to Xenia’s voice. Xenia communicates intimately with her audience. She brings to mind artists like Tracy Chapman, Dylan and Joplan who sing from a place of honesty moreso than musicality. I love listening to Xenia. She reminds me of the great artists and I will definitely be downloading her music and purchasing her CDs. Xenia is a remarkable talent.
I agree – it’s the way her voice touches the listener that makes her special. I’m so tired of singers who turn one note into 30 notes spanning 4 octaves (looking at you Christina Aquilera). I’d give all of those showoff singers for just one singer like Xenia.
I love the tone of Xenia’s voice! I looked forward to downloading her songs every week from itunes because she has the PERFECT tone for studio recordings!. I only hope that some music label signs her so that she can continue to share her beautiful voice with us. The quality of her voice reminds me of Adele…unique and relevant. While the other contestants were talented, Xenia’s is the voice I want to hear again & again!!
I love Xenia! Even though she didn’t reach the finals, I hope she knows that she has many fans that are waiting for her album. I don’t think I will ever get tired of listening to her beautiful voice.
My daughter and I are so sad tonight! We love Xenia and her beautiful voice. Cannot wait to buy all of her music.
Xenia was my favorite, she had the most unique voice on the show. I thought this show was about the VOICE, but then it turned into choreography, backup singers, and performance challenges. This is not where I thought this show was going. Yes, there are plenty of good singers on this show, but Xenia was the one who stood out for her VOICE alone. So disappointed to see her go, I don’t really care who wins now.
Xenie was as far as I am concerned THE VOICE. In my mind she had already won because of the very unique sound to her voice. It was a complete mistake to send her home, the only other one on the show that comes close to Xenia’s quality is Vicci.
If a voice were a load of sand, Xenia couldn’t carry one grain of Dia’s. Even the stupid voters knew that!
Xenia was my favorite too. Even us 58 year old can appreciate unique talent no matter how young.
What Adam Levine did was terrible and ruins the whole premise of “The Voice”. I thought what made “The Voice” different was that the coaches would try to help all the singers. Adam Levine went out of his way to sabotage Casey Weston, he did not let her sing the song the way she wanted (which she sounded better singing her way), he gave her faint praise, and he pushed Javier to the public voting by saying he was the best singer ever, then “Levine handicapped the numbers and gave Casey a very sad 35 and Javier a 65” and he even admitted he was rigging the show so that Javier Colon could win. If The Voice wants any credibility going forward they have to get rid of Adam Levine as a judge.
Also there is too many fishy things going on at “The Voice”: the whole voting thing looks very murky, and how much of “The Voice” is lip synching? It is obvious by all the commercials featuring Javier Colon they want him to win.
I like Javier Colon as a singer, but the way “The Voice” is pushing him will lead many people not to like him. If the show is rigged like Adam Levine alluded to, people will be put off by the show and Javier Colon. It is a shame because I thought Javier Colon could win the show on his own merits without any funny business.
“The Voice” is losing a lot of credibility and that is why the ratings are dropping.
I really liked Xenia’s sound, very remniscent of Norah Jones. I do agree with comments that she needs to work on not looking like a frightened deer on stage – if she gets beyond that and can relax and enjoy performing, I think she’ll have a good career! I love her unusual voice and phrasing.
I was VERY disappointed that Casey got the boot and think she was better than Javier. I didn’t have a problem with how Adam used his 100 points – that’s his prerogative – and actually had to laugh at his candor about his reasoning…refreshingly honest!!
I don’t think Adam did any manipulating at all. Javier is the better singer, period. Casey is a good singer, but her vibrata is too fine, if you know what I mean. She’s also a little attitudinal. I’m sill in totally mystery about all you who love Xenia so much. She’s tone deaf, for God’s sake! Yes, there’s a certain quality to her voice that’s unique, but that’s it. No personality, no rhythm, no performance apptitude whatsoever. I was even embarrassed listening to her attempts. I think Nakia is every bit as good as Vicci. She just had an outstandingly impressive performance this week with the drums, all that running around energy, etc. But the actual talent wasn’t even quite as good as Nakia’s. Beverly is my favorite. She’s got ingenious artistry.
XENIA was my favorite too, her voice that’s unique
I was sad to see Xenia leave the show. To me, one of her charms was her innocence. Yes, she did not have the “stage presence” of some of the more polished, already professional? performers. But, you forgot that once she drew you in with her unique, warm, beautiful voice. And, I enjoyed hearing her reactions to things that she was seeing and doing for the first time (wasn’t a private jet flight one of them?). She was genuinely in awe and appreciative for her opportunity. Her wonderful voice, along with her innocence endeared me to her.
When Xenia’s first CD comes out, I will definitely purchase it. I am sure that it will be the first of many for her.
I’m debating whether or not to watch the finals. Yes, Dia is an excellent singer, but she has also produced an album or albums professionally before. And, Javier Colon had record deals, but they went south. I really thought the show was about finding a new voice and launching a new career, not trying to save an existing, yet drowning career. I also heard that Frenchie, who was eliminated the other night, was previously on Idol. Again, I think it should be about *new* talent. At least half of the finalists are not “new”.
Personally, I agree with the final four line-up … with the exception of Vicci. Nakia was the better talent of the two. The elimination of Xenia was sad but needed. At this time, and only because she is a bit more mature, Dia is a much better performer than Xenia. Their voices and style are very similar so it had to come down to the performance factor. I love Xavier but I hope Dia takes the prize!! Of the four finalists, she fits the description of what “The Voice” is supposed to be about.
I am so glad that Xenia is out of this mess. She will be making millions when the gay community stops voting for the ugliest and most horrible performer of the show, Beverly the bald crow!
I am sure that I am not the only one who suspects that this is what happened here. Xenia has the best voice in this competition and when she rolls out her first CD and it goes platinum it will the be the validation on how bad this voting was. I don’t think that anybody other than Javier, Vicci, and Xenia deserved to be in the finals. The show called the voice has gone to the screamer.
Ok very rude first of all. I an gay myself and was actually going for Xenia so please don’t try to blame any one group. And check your facts… Voting for Beverly has no bearing on if xenia stays or not it’s if they voted for dia! It’s sad that people like you actually exist.
You must be another lesbian who likes screamers, because that is all that bald pierced circus show does! Xenia has a natural tone that the only a deaf person can consider as not unique and the best of the show! What is the name of the show? The Voice and Xenia is the one. Beverly will be screaming for nickels in Atlanta before she sell a CD!
Xenia’s voice is as unique as Dylan’s. the others are good singer but have ordinary voices, but Xenia’s is special. im looking orward to buying an record that she might record
Two words, people. Natalie Merchant!!
so sad xenia was eliminated. everyone on show is very talented but xenia had the most unique voice and the most long term star power. everyone else sounded like other artists, already on the radio. xenia was a true talent and star in the making. ;(
i miss her :[
Hi “Voice/Xenia”
I am an old dude….my music is 60′s so, I am NOT a modern day specialist of what VOICE AND STYLE is today’s thing. All I wanted to say is.
I feel that Xenia voice would work VERY WELL if she learned the song “It’s Only Love” by “The Beatles”, to me, it works with her vocal style. I LOVE to hear her do it!!!
Thanks -Alfie
