Dia Frampton: Inventing Shadows – The Voice Tv Show (Watch!)

Last night we watched the finale performances of our favorites from The Voice. I can’t believe it all ends tonight!

One of the Voice favorites this season is Dia Frampton. Dia has blown us away time and time again with her own unique style of covering different songs. When she first performed Kanye West’s Heartless she blew judges away and did so again with REM’s Losing my Religion.

What about her own songs?

I was amazed at how good her original song was. The song itself and the way that she sang it made you instantly think of some of the greats in the past with unique voices like her. Some of the songs that came to mind were Alanis Morrisette’s You Outta Know and Jewel’s Foolish Games. Not because either of them sounded like it, but like I said yesterday. It has more to do with the fact that when you hear it you not only want to learn the song but you want to sound like her when you sing it back.

What did you think of her performance?

Check out Inventing Shadows below:

Do you think she has what it takes to be the voice?

  1. I love that song !!!!
She sings it so beautifully – I immediately downloaded it and have been listening to it all morning.
She’s a superstar – and I think this song will be the hit of this summer.
It makes no difference if she wins tonight (but I’m sure she will)

  2. That song was amazing. I was in ahh when she sang that song. That is a winner in my books

  3. The judges were unbelievably rude to her! Christina started it. Dia worked as hard as any and deserved the same respect. How crude and rude, so maybe Christina was afraid Dia would win and the other judges didn’t have the maturity to not fall into her ruse? Whatever, it was horrible!
