Nicki Minaj’s Cousin Murdered
It was a sad holiday weekend for Nicki Minaj. According to MTV News, the rap star’s cousin Nicholas Telemaque was murdered in Brooklyn, New York, on Monday.
Nicki took to Twitter to express her grief: “Lived in Brooklyn his whole life. My precious cousin. My baby. Killed last nite,” she wrote. “My cousin Nicholas. Also goes by Juse, or @brolicalcoholic* Murdered. Last nite. Near his home. Brooklyn,NY.” She also tweeted a photo of him (to the right).
Police found Telemaque, 27, in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, at 2:40 a.m. Monday morning. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital. According to the New York Daily News, Telemaque had just left C-PAC nightclub, just blocks from his home, when he was shot. Police are still investigating and have not yet arrested anyone in connection with Telemaque’s death.
Nicki was performing in Winnipeg over the weekend with Britney Spears as part of Brit’s Femme Fatale tour.
RIP, Nicholas.
