Emily Maynard Will Not Be the Next Bachelorette: Find Out Why!

Emily Maynard may have sat down with Chris Harrison for a highly-televised interview last night but don’t expect to see the 25-year-old single mom in front of the cameras again anytime soon.

While rumors run rampant that Emily may be the next Bachelorette, that’s simply not the case. Sure, many may have been hoping that the blonde beauty would return in the lead role, she’s fed up with the publicity she’s received from her initial run on The Bachelor and doesn’t want to put herself, or her daughter Ricki, through it again.

When asked why Brad didn’t attend the interview, Emily replied with “He wants privacy just as much as I do. The only reason [I did it] is because I don’t want people following me anymore. I have a daughter I have to protect.”

But what she says afterwards is a big statement that pretty much reassures everyone that Emily will not take the Bachelorette role next year.

“That was my main reason for coming here. If I didn’t have that I would have just let it ride and never been on TV again.”

Emily better not change her mind or she’ll definitely be scrutinized for being a hypocrite.

Then again, anything can happen. No one thought that Brad Womack would return as The Bachelor after complaining about how much negative attention he received after dumping Jenni and Deanna at the Final Rose Ceremony.

For now, it seems very clear that Emily won’t be the next Bachelorette.

So who should ABC choose…perhaps Michelle Money – or someone completely new?
