Eric Dane Almost Finished With Rehab
Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane (lovingly known as McSteamy) has entered rehab. According to E! News, the 38 year-old is reportedly hooked on pain meds that he began taking to treat a sports injury.
The news is just breaking, but Eric actually checked himself into a clinic (reportedly Los Angeles’ Hills Treatment Center) last month as a preventive measure and is almost finished with his program. In a statement, his spokesperson said that Eric “voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus. He reports back to work next week. Business as usual.”
An ABC rep actually said that Eric has already worked one day on Grey’s: “We started shooting season eight just this past Friday and he’s already worked,” the rep said.
Eric and wife Rebecca Gayheart recently found out that Baby #2 is on the way – perhaps that motivated the rehab stint?
Season 8 of Grey’s will premiere September 22.
