Katy Perry Blonde Hair (PHOTOS!) – Thoughts?

Apparently red is the gateway to blonde. Earlier this month, Katy Perry dyed her hair a cute copper red – and on June 16, she Tweeted the following hint about an even more drastic color: “Tonight I dye my hair a different color. Can you guess which color?” she wrote – and added the next day, “So I didn’t get to the exact color I wanted from being black for so long! To get to goal I have to be a ginger for three weeks! If I don’t wait three weeks, I’ll end up with no hair or a pixie ’90s cut with a barette in the front. It’s okay, I’ll get to my secret color(s) soon!”

Well, the secret color is here: blonde! According to Celebuzz, the 26 year-old singer debuted her dark blonde ‘do at an event announcing the VMA nominations.

What do you think? I loved the red – and I love the stark contrast between her usual black hair and pale skin…but her new dark blonde (and kinda caramel) hair just doesn’t do it for me…

  3. Looks horrible. Before she looked stunning with the black hair and blue eyes. Now she just looks bland.

  4. Well, she is a natural blonde, so i guess she is going back. :P

  5. the dark made her look washed out. besides, a girls natural color always looks best. anything but that dark hair is an improvement.
