It’s the week of broken engagements! First Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler split up, and now Jesse James and Kat Von D have announced that they are no longer engaged. According to People, the pair split up because of distance.
”I’m so sad because I really love her,” Jesse said. “The distance between us was just too much.” He lives just outside of Austin, Texas, while Kat lives in Los Angeles, home of her reality show LA Ink.
“I am no longer w Jesse,” Kat informed fans via Twitter, “and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I’d like to share. Thanks for respecting that.”

Kat and Jesse, who had been planning a summer wedding, announced their engagement back in January. At the time, Kat said, “Having two places we call home will be good for now. In the end, home is where the heart is, and my heart’s with him.”
