Blake Lively Goes Tattoo Girl For New Role

Blake Lively seems to like getting down and dirty for her film roles.  Maybe she’s deliberately trying to prove that she’s more than the clean cut and always lovely Serena Van Der Woodsen, or maybe she just likes wearing a lot of makeup.

This time, however, she’s putting on more than the several tons of eyeliner she donned for The Town.  She’s been spotted shooting scenes for her upcoming part in Oliver Stone’s Savages in a tattered cover up that reveals more (presumably fake) tattoos than it  hides.

There’s something about Lively that seems to make her a prime candidate for this kind of damaged, risque role.  A certain shiny freshness that is still visible behind all the makeup artist inflicted decay that makes these hardened young women feel vulnerable and sad.

Despite the questionable characters she gravitates towards these days, Lively seems to be making classy, careful choices in building her career.  Even the atrocious Green Lantern made good box office money.  We’re intrigued enough to see if her Savages tats take her another step closer to being a real movie star in the same way that her sad drug addict look did in The Town.
