Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Quitting Acting
Don’t expect to see Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt starring in movies when they’re 60. According to CNN, the power couple plans to quit the acting biz to focus on what they’re really passionate about.
“As Brad and I get older we’re going to do fewer films,” Angelina said. “I’ve been working for a long time, he’s been working for a long time, we’ve had a nice run and don’t want to be doing this our whole lives… I don’t love it as much… I love being a mom.” (She and Brad have six children.)
Angelina, 36, continued: “I’m older and I know who I am, and I’m less interested in the character helping me answer something than in being able to answer it for myself, as a woman, as an adult, with my family.”
Of course, she’s not done just yet; you can catch Angelina in Cleopatra in 2013 – and she will make her writing/directing debut on In the Land of Blood and Honey, which will be released in December. Meanwhile, Brad’s baseball movie Moneyball hits theaters September 23.
Besides focusing on her family, Angelina will likely continue her global humanitarian work. Last year, she was named a “goodwill ambassador” for the UN refugee agency.
Will you miss Angelina and Brad on the big screen?
