Ames Brown made the most memorable move in Bachelor Pad history last night when he gave up his chance at winning $250,000 to pursue love with co-contestant Jackie Gordon.
Jackie and Ames quickly formed a solid bond during their brief stint on the show and when Jackie was eliminated last night the charming former Bachelorette contestant wasted no time chasing after her.
Fans of the show were convinced it was true love but, we can exclusively confirm today that Ames and Jackie are no longer together.
“We are not still dating but we enjoyed every moment we had together,” Ames said in a conference call with reporters today. “After a little while, we split up. Nothing too exotic about it. We just maybe weren’t the ideal match.”
Ames may have given a very diplomatic statement about the breakup, Jackie wasn’t so restricted in hers.
“I was shocked that it ended as it did. I thought it was potential forever,” she said. “It came out of nowhere. As far as I knew, things were great. I thought it lasted much longer than it did. I guess you didn’t. It takes two.”
