Britney Spears Brings Son Sean Preston on Stage During Show
Britney Spears has come a long way from her “Hit Me Baby One More Time” days. She didn’t just survive her epic mental breakdown, she seems to have flourished. At 29, she’s managed to avoid joining the notorious 27 Club of rock and pop stars who have died at age 27. She’s also survived rehab, public humiliation and paparazzi stalking so extreme it almost inspired a new law in California.
And, somehow, through it all, she’s managed to find her way back to being a mom. When Spears lost custody of her children in mid-meltdown, it was tragic but, on many levels, deserved. She clearly wasn’t in any shape to take care of another human being.
What a huge sign of growth, then, to see the now 29 year old singer rocking out to her latest hit song on stage with her 5 year old son, Sean Preston, happily bopping along at her side. As one of the many who would have told you, a few years ago, that Spears might not even make it to 27, I’m happy to say that sometimes it’s good to be proven wrong.
