MTV Offers First Sneak Peak of Hunger Games at the VMA’s (WATCH!)

Can’t wait to see the upcoming Hunger Games movie? If you caught the VMA’s last night, then you’ve already seen the first sneak peak, which MTV screened during the awards. But if you missed it, or you just want to watch it, like, four hundred more times, then here it is!

MTV.com pulled some reactions from the more Hunger Games obsessed bloggers out there. They seem to be thrilled, despite the relative spareness of the clip:

“That was epic,” declared Samus Belle of Sparks Will Fly. “I’m so excited. Especially seeing Jennifer Lawrence running through the whole arena, she looked like a hunter. She just captured Katniss onscreen.”

Kimmy West of Mockingjay.net added. “Jennifer Lawrence is just embodying Katniss,” she said. “The big trait about Katniss is that she’s animalistic when she hunts. You can totally tell that she’s been training so much for that [bow and arrow] shot. She really looks like a pro.”

The only detail these ubber-fan bloggers might take issue with? The lack of Peeta in the trailer. Liam Helmsworth’s voice is heard as Gale, but Josh Hutcherson’s Peeta is nowhere to be found. But even that oversight is something the fans seem willing to overlook.

As Samus Belle told MTV, “In all fairness, throughout the first part of the games, she is thinking mostly about Gale and the advice he gave her.”

What do you think? Is this teaser enough to wet your appetite?
