Everyone involved denies it, but the rumors that Marc Anthony’s relationship with his HawthoRNe costar Jada Pinkett Smith contributed to his divorce just aren’t dying. Matching rumors that Pinkett Smith and her husband of fourteen years, Will Smith, are on shaky ground have also been persistent, despite, or perhaps because of, their vigorous denials.
Apparently, an insider on the freshly canceled HawthoRNe has told Us Magazine that Pinkett Smith and Anthony had a relationship that seemed to go beyond friendship.
“They were a little touchy and like they were in their own little world,” a source told Us. The anonymous tipster also said that the pair spent time alone in Anthony’s on-set trailer.
BUT…the Victorian era this is not. Men and women are allowed to be friends, and they’re allowed to spend time alone together. In fact, several celebrities have commented recently on the fact that the news media jumps to the possibility of a relationship between stars far too quickly. If these rumors are false, or even if they’re simply the product of an inappropriately close friendship between the pair, lets hope the Smith family can work their way through this and keep their status as one of Hollywood’s most successful marriages.
