The Miss Universe pageant is the single most prestigious pageant in the world and the 2011 event is just a few days away. We’ve been researching this year’s contestants and have our prediction on early favorites, who’s most likely to make the top 10 finalists and our top 3 picks for who will take home the coveted crown and win Miss Universe 2011.
So without further ado, here are our picks:
Miss Universe 2011 Favorites:
We’ve browsed all of the contestants for this year’s pageant and agree that the 10 favorites to win are (in no particular order) Miss Russia, Miss Turkey, Miss USA, Miss Venezuela, Miss Sweden, Miss Israel, Miss Puerto Rico, Miss France, Miss Brazil and Miss Bahamas.
Predictions for Final Three:
It’s almost impossible to predict who the finalists will be with so many impressive contestants choose from but if we had to pick our top 3 picks for who will win, they would be Miss Brazil (Priscila Machado), Miss Israel (Kim Edri) and Miss USA (Alyssa Campanella) (photos below).

Meen – it’s just our opinion…feel free to leave yours. We’re not saying these girls are going to win, we’re just saying who we pick. Not everyone is going to agree. I’ll do a follow-up post with the women everyone here says they think will win as well (for instance, there’s obviously strong support for Miss Philippines)
I agree!!! I this this is an american based site… It’s quite bias… Ms. USA is undeniably pretty but a lot of people find her too skinny… that will not be a good example for a miss u title holder… and Ms. brazil, it’s been awhile since the rep from the host country won… so good luck!!!!!

Miss Phillipines is an epitomy of miss universe- beauty, intelligent and stunning in her swimsuit and long gown. what can you ask for? A magna cum laude graduate of architecture and top 1 in board exam.

They should just re-name the contest to Miss Universe Latina.
80 % of these women are gorgeous and yet every year the winner is either from South or Central America with the occasional European thrown in for good measure.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and comes in many ethnicities.
I have to say some of the taller lankier latina’s look like transvestites.The other thing I find ridiculous is that often the winner cannot speak English at all. This a joke by any standards and speaks volumes about the so-called brainiacs these women are. Granted it is an International pageant However, the winner resides in New York City and is a spokesperson for the organization on whatever fairy tale platform they are trying to get us to believe. If you nation can spend thousands of dollars on reworking your body with plastic surgery and a ton of make up why can they not fork over some English classes?…after all let us not mistake this pageant for anything else than it is…Clearly a Beauty pageant-no talent, obviously the interview part is irrelevant if they can’t for a sentence in English and still manage to win, the exception was last year when the Phillipines blew her answer completely by avoiding the question entirely and giving some bogus I wanna save the world I am a good girl just ask my mom please pick me speech…it was pathetic. It’s not like that stopped the Phillino community from preparing for the 2nd coming of the messiah…for god’s sake it’s a pageant between beauty pageants and karaoke the Phillipines would like to assume they are the champions of the world…Ya, that’s something to look up to. It’s not like you want your little girls growing up independent and valued for their intelligence or anything.
If this wasn’t such a rigged contest than Ireland,Kosovo,Korea,Venezuela and Angola would be the top 5 with either Angola or Ireland being the new title holder. The symmetry of these women’s faces is by far superior than of the others competing and if it were truly a contest about actual Beauty personified but it’s not it’s about who Hoochies who can strut because that is what gay men ( the majority of the judges ) like to see…Sassy ManEater’s as they so wish to become.

Miss Universe should not only the looks but also the attitude ( inner beauty ). There’s a lot beautiful women but they have bad attitude ( very high to themselves, Hypocrite, etc. )
The new Miss Universe 2011 will be from South America, my 16 finalist will be : Switzerland, Japan, Mexico, Greece, Costa Rica, Croatia, USA, Bolivia, China, Czech Republic, Sominican Republic, Venezuela, Philippines, Kosovo, Colombia, Angola; and my 5 finalist will be: KOSOVO, COLOMBIA, PHILIPPINES, VENEZUELA AND ANGOLA

I think all of them are beautiful each in their own way.
Every one of these women deserve to win just for being there, but alas there will only be 1 winner.

Let’s not forget Indonesia also 1 of the strongest participant..don’t judge her by where is she from….judge her by how the way she representing her country….her brain….the judges always under estimate certain country by the population of particular religion…so racist….i hate that….sounds not profesional n educated….look at filipin …they always got nominated coz they r mostly catholic/christian….just want you to know that I’m christian..n you guys can find filipino everywhere even in the unknown island….why dont they just do this event only for certain country…meaning how good is miss indonesia still won’t be enough to be a candidate winner….a breaktru…if she got it….
