Elisabetta Canalis Opens up to “Chi” Magazine About George Clooney

Elisabetta Canalis has finally opened up about her recently ended relationship with George Clooney.

“At the end of the day I have always seen the end of my relationships as a personal failure,” Canalis, 32, told the Italian magazine, Chi. “There is nothing ever pretty [about] saying goodbye.”

Us Magazine claims that various sources informed them that the relationship ended because Canalis wanted to get married and Clooney, who has always been vocal about his lack of desire to wed, couldn’t be convinced.  Clooney has now moved on to a new romance with Stacey Keibler, 31, one of Dancing with the Stars’ professional dancers.

Canalis gave Chi a bit more clarity on why her relationship with Clooney didn’t work.

“I’m a bit of a tomboy, but when it comes to love I am a doormat,” she told the Italian magazine. “I’m looking for men who can give me security.”

Canalis at least seems to have learned something from the experience.

“I have always seen cold and controlled men as the right ones for me,” she told Chi, becoming quite emotional. “You have to accept that Prince Charming who is coming to save you is not going to happen — it works against you.”
