Amy Winehouse would have turned 28 today – and in remembrance of the enormously talented singer who passed away in July, Tony Bennett has released the song and video of their duet “Body and Soul,” recorded at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London.
“Our singing together just blended perfectly,” Amy says in a behind-the-scenes video. “It couldn’t have been better.”
Tony, who was one of the last people ever to record with Amy, spoke about her at the VMAs, saying she was a “true” jazz artist who most definitely had “it.”
“Body and Soul” will appear on Tony’s album Duets II, which hits stores (and iTunes & Amazon) next Tues, September 20. The disc also includes duets with Michael Buble, Norah Jones, John Mayer, Queen Latifah and Carrie Underwood.

Just brillant, soulfull and easy to listen to…..A recording Amy’s parents will be proud, Amy complimented Mr Bennett and didn’t let him down as a man of his talent heard something in her voice and not her looks….. Looking forward to buying the CD….Kinf regards Lorraine
