Army Wives actress Kim Delaney had a hard time focusing as she delivered a slurred, insincere speech during an event honoring the US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates last night.
The former rehabber stuttered her way through the speech, trying her best to read off the teleprompter before eventually being hauled off stage by one of the organizers.
The event took place in Philadelphia where several high ranking US officials were in attendance. In addition, 3 former US presidents made video tributes for the special event.
While the cause of her chaotic behavior has not been confirmed, many reports are claiming she was either drunk or on some kind of drug while attempting to deliver the speech.
Delaney received treatment in rehab in 2003 for substance abuse.
TMZ tried calling Kim’s rep but their calls were not returned.
