Lady Gaga Meets with President Barack Obama Over Bullying Issues!
Lady Gaga may wear controversial outfits and perform questionable routines on stage but one thing’s for sure – she is an amazing human being with the power to make a lot of positive changes.
The first order of business for the popular singer is to make bullying illegal. To constitute bullying as a hate crime and provide harsher punishment for those victimizing others. Gaga is adamant about making this a reality – so much so that she met with President Barack Obama about it this weekend.
Lady G attended a fundraiser hosted by the commander-in-chief last night. Tickets for the event cost $35,800 a pop but that didn’t stop the You & I singer from going.
Obama met with Gaga before the event began where she briefly spoke with him about her views on bullying. Once the Q&A portion of the event began, Gaga stood up and read a letter from a fan concerning the death of Jamey – a 14-year-old boy who committed suicide this month after being bullied and taunted for being gay.
She then made a plea to everyone in attendance to consider her proposed law of making bullying illegal.
We definitely support Gaga’s views and agree that bullying should be illegal and harsher punishment for bullies needs to be put in place.
This is getting out of control. Too many lives lost over something so preventable.
