Adele Cancels Tours Because of Voice Problems

If you were looking forward to seeing Adele on her upcoming U.S. tour, you’re out of luck. Voice problems have forced the popular singer to cancel all upcoming concerts.

The Grammy winner announced on Tuesday that a hemorrhage on her vocal cord has forced her to cancels shows for the second time this year. In April, she came down with laryngitis and was forced to take a break from performing.

On her blog, Adele attempted to explain why she was forced to make such a difficult decision:

“Singing is literally my life, its my hobbie (sic), my love, my freedom and now my job. I have absolutely no choice but to recuperate properly and fully, or I risk damaging my voice forever.”

While fans will certainly be upset at not getting to see Adele perform in person, surely everyone will understand that she must take care of her vocal cords so that she can perform and record in the future.

Cancelled shows include Atlantic City, New Jersey, Nashville and Miami.
