Pop star Rhianna, 23, has joined women like Minka Kelly, Jessica Biel, Halle Berry and Scarlett Johansson in holding the title of Esquire Magazine’s “Sexiest Woman Alive.”
The singer, who is known for her racy shows, claims that she’s not trying to be sexy. “At the end of a concert, I don’t feel like I’ve been this sexy thing,” Rihanna told Esquire. “Really, I don’t even think about it.”
Sure. The leather hot pants and fishnets are obviously an attempt to be a conservative dresser.
But fine, we all understand the innocent, “what, this old thing? Just something I threw on,” routine. And Rihanna is a sexy girl, there’s no question about it. She’s even a sexy girl with real curves, which I appreciate. She’s successful too. She just beat Madonna out for the record for fastest solo artist to chart 20 songs in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 chart.
But I do wish she’d just give up and admit that she does, at least occasionally, play for straight sex appeal. I mean, for goodness sake, she even has a specific section of each show that’s labeled “Sex.” And there’s nothing wrong with that! Pop music is allowed to be sexy, and young women are allowed to be sexual. What do you think? Should Rhianna just own up to her va-va-voom?

she’s not even pretty. she always looks so trashy to me. really bad choice. where are the truly beautiful and sexy women in the world? the staff as esquire must be blind.
