Are you excited for Paramount’s mega-superhero mash up movie, The Avengers? How could you not be? Not just one hot, super powered hero in a slick outfit but a whole league of them under the direction of Joss Whedon? My inner nerd says that’s bound to be the best movie, like, ever.
Is my inner nerd right? Who knows, but the newly released trailer doesn’t do anything to smack my hopes and dreams down. I’ve been a big fan of the way the Marvel Universe is being allowed to overlap between movies, and this is trailer looks like that experiment is paying off. It seems to be exactly like the straight up, blow things up and then let a bunch of great actors make sarcastic comments while they save the world movie this needs to be. Let’s hope the movie is as good!
My favorite part? The last line, belonging to Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark, of course. Stark turns to Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) a.k.a. The Hulk and says:
“Dr. Banner, your work is unparalleled and I’m a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster.”
