Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Gives Birth to Baby Girl!
Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the first lady of France, gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday night, according to the AP. Baby Girl Sarkozy is the first infant born to a sitting president of modern-day France, according to the French media.
With the euro debt crisis still simmering, her daddy, President Nicolas Sarkozy, was in Frankfurt in a meeting when his daughter was born. He reportedly arrived at the private Muette Clinic where Bruni-Sarkozy gave birth at 11 pm, local time, about three hours after his daughter was born. It was his third trip to the facility that day. Obviously Sarkozy was doing his best to juggle family and work responsibilities.
Europe 1 radio says that the birth, “went well” for the 43 year old singer and former supermodel. There has been no official confirmation of the birth, which has been in keeping with the couple’s generally reserved attitude about sharing details of the impending birth.
“You don’t have a child for the gallery,” Bruni-Sarkozy told French TV network TF1 earlier this month. “I will do everything to protect this child … I will not show photos of this child, I will never expose this child.”
