Daylight Savings Time 2011: When Does It End for US and Canada?

Most of you have probably noticed it’s becoming darker and darker earlier in the morning these past few weeks. This happens every year around this time and leads many people to ask the popular question: When does daylight savings time end?

With all the back and forth over the years, it’s tough to keep track of exactly when the clocks go forward and when they go back.

Generally, the clocks fall back (for those of you who can’t remember when the clocks go forward and when they go back, a simple way to remember is you fall back on something and you spring forward into something – therefore, the clocks go back in the fall and forward in the spring) on the last week of October or first week of November.

When does Daylight Savings End in 2011?

This year (2011), daylight savings will end on November 6 for both the US and Canada.

Before you go to bed on November 5 (which is a Saturday), turn your clocks back one hour. If you go to bed at 10, change your clock so it says 9. This way, when you wake up you will have the correct new time.

Soon, we’ll be saying so long to those dark mornings. The downside is, it’ll get dark earlier at night :(

Clocks will spring forward on March 11 of 2012.
