Project Runway Season 9 Finale Winner!

The Project Runway Season 9 Finale is over! After last week’s anticlimactic decision to send Josh, Victor, Kimberly and Anya ALL to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (eliminating no one after all 90 minutes), we finally have some news. So who won Project Runway season 9?
The winner is… Anya!
It was a shocking decision, given that Anya hadn’t even finished a single piece when Tim Gunn went to visit her in Trinidad in the Project Runway Season 9 Finale Part 1. But Anya pulled things together at the last second, returning to her strong suit: flowing dresses with plunging necklines. Even though her collection lacked diversity, the judges love her point of view. “She has great taste,” the notoriously tough Nina Garcia said.
Do you think Anya deserved to win? I loved her dresses, but I agree that we should have seen a flowy shirt with some jeans or some more options for necklines. Still, Josh’s super-bright colors and weird fabrics are too bizarre to me. Victor’s prints were fantastic and all his pieces are impeccably tailored, but it’s true that his four transparent black outfits were a snoozefest. As for Kimberly – I like her stuff, but I don’t love it. I think for me it was a tie between Anya’s collection and the non-transparent pieces of Victor’s collection.
