Taylor Swift is not exactly the first person you think of when you think internet sex scandal, which may be why her legal team is claiming that the topless photos of Swift that have been “leaked” to tabloid site Celeb Jihad are fake.
The singer’s legal team has stated, according to TMZ, that the site has posted, ”false pornographic images and false ‘news’” about Swift and is threatening trademark infringement if the photos are not taken down.
The site is fighting fire with fire, posting a “news” item accusing Swift of “waging war” against them because the signer is, in their words, “furious” over their stories. Naturally, they’re likely hoping that this scandal will put them on the crowded internet gossip map.
Swift doesn’t seem to be losing her cool, however. She appeared at a Nashville area launch for her new perfume, Wonderstruck, on Friday, looking as smiley and unflappable as always. She’s in the midst of a sold out national tour as well, and in the running for five separate award categories at the Country Music Association Awards. Somehow, we think the country star and her legal team will be more than a match for a penny anty celebrity gossip rag.
