Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Getting Back Together For the Show?
Kim Kardashian booked a last-minute flight to Minnesota to see Kris Humphries…could they be getting back together? And should we believe what we see? Sources say…maybe.
According to TMZ, sources say Kim felt Kris deserved a face-to-face chat – but that doesn’t mean they’re getting back together. Insiders say Kim has been unhappy for a while, even crying days before her wedding. She wrote in her message to fans: “I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people.”
Us Weekly reports that Kim and Kris talked for four hours – but the purpose of the convo was closure, not reconciliation. “She wanted to see him face to face to put some finality on it,” said a source. “To give them both some closure. She didn’t want things to get ugly with them and it was heading down that road.”
MediaTakeOut has a more cynical view of Kim’s meeting with Kris, saying that the couple will get back together to prevent E! from pulling Kim’s wedding special from the schedule and canceling Kim and Kourtney take New York. Color me skeptical: do you really think E! would cancel the show? And why wouldn’t E! have stopped airing the wedding special right when Kim announced the divorce? The network would have done it by now. Kim also wrote in her message that she did NOT make money off the wedding, as many news outlets reported.
Perhaps the wildcard here is Kris, who has said that he’s “committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents.” He continued: “I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”
