Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler are two of the hottest country stars on the planet and they’re going head-to-head in our first CMA 2011 fashion face-off.
Carrie – who co-hosted the coveted event with Brad Paisley – looked stunning in a sparkly gold gown with capped sleeves. Meanwhile, Pickler opted for a silver number with vertical stitch detailing that also featured capped sleeves.
Ms. Underwood’s decision to don a gold gown on the red carpet and Ms. Pickler’s choice to showcase a silver stunner could be considered symbolic of their status this year. While Carrie was chosen to host the show, is up for the award of Female Vocalist of the year and will perform on the show, Kellie was asked only to present this year and won’t be performing or taking home any awards.
Just because Kellie won’t be taking home a CMA award tonight doesn’t mean she can’t take home our award for best dressed.
