Faith Hill CMA Awards 2011 Performance – Watch!
Faith Hill performed at the CMAs for the first time in five years, triggering a storm of publicity and Twitter speculation about when her next studio album, which will be the first in nearly six years.
Hill’s performance of her new single, Coming Home has garnered more buzz than her younger competition, Taylor Swift’s CMA performance and Entertainer of the Year Award (her second in her young life) – a good sign for the older star’s come back chances. Swift has definitely been covering the same country music/light rock cross over territory that Hill dominated in the early 2000′s, so it’s easy to see why the press is drawing comparisons but it seems likely that the music world has room for both of these lovely ladies.
Hill has been busy during her hiatus – she’s raising three daughters with husband Tim McGraw. As for when her new album will be ready to share with the world, Hill insists she won’t be rushed. But, if the publicity engines are firing up, as they clearly are if Hill is playing the CMA’s then we should be seeing new work for Hill soon!
