Ten months ago Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head, point blank from a three-foot range during a public speaking engagement at a grocery store in Arizona. The shooting was reported as an assassination attempt on the 41-year-old’s life and, for a brief period of time, it didn’t seem like Giffords was going to pull through.
But Gabrielle is more than just a fighter and now, just ten months after the attack, she is recovering well and even sat down for an interview with Diane Sawyer which will air Monday night.
In the interview, with her loyal husband by her side, she talks about her recovery and the road ahead.
The interview also shows clips and video footage of the congresswoman’s recovery in the hospital and her effort to stay strong during the most difficult of times.
