Herman Cain’s wife hasn’t been much of a presence on the campaign trial, even after her husband began struggling to fend off allegations of sexual misconduct. Cain has maintained his wife is a private person who suffers from a serious heart condition, for which she has had a pace maker for several years, but that she supports him, “200%.” Now, with sexual assault and sexual harassment allegations continuing to pile up against her husband, Gloria Cain has decided to speak up.
Mrs. Cain has already taped the interview with Greta Van Susteren that is set to air Monday night on Fox News. The interview apparently reveals her thoughts on her husband’s recent troubles. It doesn’t sound like the interview will offer too many surprises. Gloria Cain seems to be ready to stand by her man:
“You hear the graphic allegations and we know that would have been something that’s totally disrespectful of her as a woman,” she told Susteren. “And I know the type of person he is. He totally respects women. I’m thinking he would have to have a split personality to do the things that were said.”
