Hope Solo Eliminated from Dancing with the Stars 2011: FINALLY!

The finalists on the 2011 season of Dancing with the Stars have just been announced and, subsequently, the latest contestant eliminated has also been revealed.

Who Went Home on Dancing with the Stars?

Fans may or may not be surprised at who left the competition tonight but that doesn’t change the fact that I am absolutely thrilled with the results.

Hope and Maks have done nothing but complain this whole season and they’re finally getting what they have deserved for the past 9 weeks: elimination.

Last night, despite receiving decent comments from the judges when her dance was horrendous, Hope had the nerve to slam Carrie Ann Inaba and tell her off in front of millions of viewers. Her childish stance that the judges have wanted her off the show since the beginning makes her look like an immature high school student and the dirty looks she’s always throwing at the judges make her look like this season’s Kate Gosselin (a position not many would strive towards).

If you couldn’t tell by now, I’m ecstatic that Hope Solo was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars tonight.

Last night after her dance (before saying she didn’t even want to look at the judges while they provided their feedback – real mature, Hope) she ran over to her friends and said “they can’t hold me down.”

Looks like they can, Hope. And they did.

Is anyone else as happy as I am that Hope was eliminated tonight?

  1. I was very ready for Hope to go!

  2. YES!!! Hope Solo goes home – FINALLY !!! Extra bonus- Maks goes home too ! I agree completely with this article. My sentiments exactally !!!

  3. Soooo happy Hope and Maks gone like the wind!! I know you will think I am crazy BUT… I really want Rob to win!!

  4. It’s like the pot calling the kettle black. Now you sound immature.

They may have argued a lot, but they were harshly criticized most weeks.

Closing your eyes to the contestants dancing and just listening to the critiques, you’d think that Hope & Maks were the worst dancers every week. eg with Nancy, Chaz, etc

    They were picked on.

  5. She deserved to go a long time ago. I’m just glad she didn’t win. I wouldn’t have watched again. She thought she was so much better than she was. She couldn’t dance if her life depended on it.

  6. Yes!!!! I wanted her to go before Chaz. She is very defensive over constructive criticism. Always looks like she is being dragged across the floor. And she is representing USA? God help us.

  7. I am happy Hope got eliminated, last night she was childish at one time, I thought she was drunk.

  8. F**** all you haters! She has the right to an attitude, so does anyone who is getting picked on. She is awesome if you guys know anything. she inspires millions of soccer players out there so don’t bash her. she has worked hard to get to where she is and doesn’t deserve criticism.

  9. I’m sad Hope went home she was better than some others
And she got pushed around by others watching the show.

  10. Why pick on Hope and Maks? They worked harder than the othersnd got picked on more. Talk about immature……..have you seen the judges? Carrie Ann seems to have the hots for Rob, but HE CANNOT DANCE!

He talks a lot about shaking his bootie………what bootie? And Carrie Ann gets wild…….wtf!!!

    Leave Hope alone!

  11. True, she may not have been destined to win the mirror ball. and may not been the best dancer.

But really, being picked on is NOT COOL.

They have feelings too….especially since they also put in the hard work.

Maks gets mad……the judges gets mad.
Maks smiles and the judges gets mad.

Carrie Ann……….not cool, in this case.

  12. Finally!!!!!! I seriously do not understand how Hope made it so far in the competition. I thought she should have been eliminated a long time ago- before Kristin Cavallari and Chynna Phillips! The girl cannot dance. I actually felt the judges were nicer to her than what she deserved. She’s not good at all and her attitude sucks.

  13. J R talented and courageous is my choice for WINNING!

  14. So so happy to see Hope go. She is so arrogant. I really believe she thought she could win!

  15. taking offence wheather they feel right or wrong only make them look bad!
Hopefully they learn something from this…

  16. hope was hopeless a sour puss no elegance, she was more masculine than Maks. it was a Dance contest HopeLess Supporters not a popularity or horse race contest. HopeLess attitude made her look fuglier than she already is. Gone Gone Gooone!

  17. Here is the deal. Hope has behaved exactly like she behaved in the 2007WC-immature, entitled and egotistical. She is an amazing GK but sometimes when things don’t go your way it is more impressive how you handle yourself during these situations. She threw her teammate Brianna Scurry under the bus because the coach made a poor choice. She pouted on national tv and did not act like a team player when they lost to Brazil. I’m a former competitive athlete and would have been majorly disappointed if I was benched for the final game, especially when the back-up didn’t have any minutes prior to that game. It wasn’t the backups choice, it was the coaches and as hard as it was to swallow, I would have supported all of my teammates and not made a fool out of myself on tv.

Hope never connected with the cast and even admitted she came across too competitive at the beginning of the season. She aslo had to balance her time with training for the Olympics and DWTS. So to say she worked as hard as everyone else is false. Not her fault b/c her true job is US Soccer but the reduced dance practice didn’t help. I was hoping she would have matured and showed more class on DWTS. Sorry, Hope you are athletic and have high expectations for yourself, so did the judges. To judge Chaz who has no athletic bone in his body like Hope would be humiliating and equivalent to bullying and making fun of the whimp on the playground. I seem to remember them making some terrible comments to him regarding wobbling around like a penguin. Hope comments on her facebook page that it’s just a popularity contest. Ironically her fans kept her in as long as they did-cheesy to bribe with a signed jersey to get votes too!

There were 2 amazing dancers that were elinated in the first few weeks that departed with class. It isn’t the judges points that eliminated Hope. It would be nice to see her take critism and not have to brag about the Olympics etc. She improved and was probably in the Top 7 dancers but her attitude was embarrassing and painful to watch at times.

Hope wants respect, however she needs to learn how to give respect and run with the punches. As an elite athlete, I am surprise she hasn’t learned this skill and more surprised that US Soccer hasn’t mentored her on how to be a better role model. An ounce of humility would have been beautiful to see.

    • MNSoccer, you expressed yourself very well. Hope did come across as immature and a little humility would help her a lot. Unfortunately, Maks also speaks his mind and doesn’t have much humility or respect for the judges, so this encouraged Hope to jump on the band wagon. At one time or another all the contestants have been criticized and none have reacted the way Hope or Maks has. Maybe if Hope listened to some of the comments the judges gave her, she would have improved her style.

  18. The bottom line is that Hope sucked. She is not graceful elegant or engaging to watch. Her attitude was just as bad as her dancing if not worse and showed that she has no class. DWTS is a competition and an athlete of all people should be able to accept constructive criticism and learn from it. I wonder how many of her coaches she tells FU and treats them as if their years of expertise is irrelevant. Oh yeah…that’s why she got benched and kicked off the team in 2007. And for those of you that think its just a popularity contest you may be right. But as the saying goes “you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.” She has shown that she is a sore sport. While I will cheer for USA soccer during the Olympics I hope to never see her dance again.

  19. KATHY WALLACE says:

I’m glad Hope and Maks are gone only because I wonder who Carrie Ann will run down now. She has had the hots for Rob from day one even though he could”t dance his way out of a paper bag!

    • Carrie Ann always gets the HOTS for any of the young studs on the show. Yes Hope wasn’t the best and she deserved to be eliminated. Chaz Bono should have been eliminated long before he wasand he was also criticized by the judges. He was called names by the judges that wasn’t fair.

  20. Rebecca Frazier says:

I am so glad she is gone. I was a hotel manager and I have had enough soccer players in my hotel to recognize the type. Arrogant, self important brats that trash the hotel as if that was their right. Or laugh about the vandalism as if it were a joke. Seems they never outgrow the attitude. Glad you’re gone. Wish it had been sooner!
