Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher Divorce!
Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are officially getting a divorce! The Wrap reports that the actress issued a statement announcing her decision to split from her husband of six years:
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton,” the statement reads. “As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”
Perhaps the bit about “values and vows” refers to the rumors that Ashton cheated earlier this year. While Demi and Ashton were vocal on Twitter denying the first cheating rumors that swirled about them, they were surprisingly quiet about more recent ones, and starring appearing at events without each other. Suspicion was at its highest when Ashton spent their most recent anniversary partying in San Diego with Danny Masterson (and not Demi).
Demi, 49, and Ashton, 33, married back in September of 2005, making Demi one of the original “cougars.” Maybe their age difference proved to be too much?
