Tonight’s episode of X Factor USA was very dramatic once again and you may be surprised to hear who was eliminated from the show.
Who Was Eliminated on X Factor USA
The bottom 2 was unpredictable this week. Personally, I thought Marcus or Lakoda Rayne would be in jeopardy but both acts were safe. In the bottom 2 was Stacey Francis and Astro.
Astro’s Behavior
While it seemed like it was going to be an easy decision for the judges between Astro and Stacey, it didn’t exactly turn out that way in the end.
As soon as it was announced that they were the bottom 2, Astro’s whole demeanor changed. He became an immature brat, crossing his arms and almost refusing to perform and eventually giving a lackluster performance.
All of the judges noticed Atro’s disrespectful behavior – particularly Simon and LA but neither could deny that he was the better act.
In the end, after scolding Astro for his poor behavior, Simon (along with Paula and LA) voted out Stacey and kept Astro under the condition that he would change his bad attitude.

A baby, who thinks he’s hot stuff, finished in either 9th or 10th spot, and hasn’t much hope to begin with; I’ve never seen a competition where the tie-breaker goes to the one with “perhaps the mostupside potential” – both male judges & Paula; while its Simon’s egotistical show and he’s making the key decisions, Astro should have been gone tonight….think he’ll get his comeuppance net week; can’t be an voter favorite, else not in bottom two…personally, I don’t believe majority of voters are even iking Astros really boring rap style music(?)
give the kid a break. He’s worked harder than most of the contestants and everyone has been praising him from day one, so yes it went to his head but he is still young therefore immature. Hopefully after last night he will realize that you can’t take things for granted. Were any of us as teenagers perfect or grateful for everything we had. I don’t think so. He was obviously very hurt and was trying to hide it behind an attitude. He’ll learn so cut him some slack please.
The kid was given a break….he got to see LA, now it’s time for him to go back home and finish school. He is too immature…Stacy Francis still thinks she is in church and she constantly sings likes she there. He voice is boring and to churchy….Ever time she opens her mouth I feel I should be pulling out the bible
Asstro (sp intended) is a pain and he needs to go home. He also said he miss his mother therefore he is saying he wants to go yo, yo, yo, home. He doesn’t have a chance to win and neither does stacy…I believe the winner is going to be the big hairy guy that really sang rock. Everyone else is boring. And that girl that sings the same type of music slow all the time is driving me crazy…she is also a pain evertime she opens her mouth. The judges made poor decisions with these groups, I do not see any hopefuls at all.

Open you ears please and maybe you will hear the NOISE and NO-TALENT noise coming out of his mouth. He is NOT talented, canNOT sing a lick in tune, and therefore resorts to psuedo-rap NOISE with his loudmouthed noise. No, he is NOT excused. Millions and millions of 15 year old kids out in the world are very respectful and humble and ethical … this nutjob is NOT one of them. Astro is a petty, noisy, no-talent, little brat who should be booted out the door along with this supporter, Mr. Glasses (judge) who caters to the little brat. This show is fix and staged and thousands of us no longer waste the viewing time on it, and we hope the ratings will show the advertisers that it’s time to bail out on that air time as their funds are being wasted when no one is watching.

I totally agree with you. I really enjoy astros music and then he write it him self. The other people are singers which means they sing other people songs. I hope astro wins and I don’t care what nobody says. He’s awesome! #teamastro ! He made one mistake and is all of a sudden become the most hated kid ever. Give him a brake!

Stacy Francis should have been the one to stay, she has real talent and
passion for singing and huge heart and at the end showed class and
appreciation to the judges to give her the opportunity to be there even though
she was sent home.
I agree that Astro’s behavior was poor, however I think that we forget he is 15 years old, he hasn’t see his mom in a month and the kid was facing the end of his dream infront of millions of people, unless we have been on a national TV program displaying our god given talents and told that we were in the bottom two we really shouldn’t throw so many stones…. I believe that Astro is a very talented young man, who had a moment of “lost control” what million dollar recording artist hasn’t had that moment…. Everyone is so quick to say the hateful comments, I think it is important to follow the rule if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all…. after all isn’t that what you are expecting out of him…. I believe stacey do well from this point on and I also believe that out of the two of them Astro was the better contestant…..

Astro is very young. I think everybody is too harsh on him. He needs some extra coaching to deal with negative situation.

He has been given breaks no one else has had like refussing to learn dance routine in the beginning. he has been allowed to do only one kind of music when no one else has had that break. Astro needs to understand rap is not hip hop and all rappers that have had great careers could sing too. We have never heard Astro sing just rap.

Dee, please! Did Astro all of sudden forget that the judges were the ones making the decision at that point? Every knew as long as Astro kept his cool he would be safe. We’ve all seen how the judges act toward Stacy, she was already out the door. But for him to act like the punk that we all know he is now, im sorry he didn’t go. To not want to perform because of the audience vote was foolish, immature and he was just an idiot for acting that way.

knows how to do. I agree that he is very talented and I am sure he will go place. Not sure for how long with his attitude, but he will get something. Everyone there is expected to learn new things and Astro doesn’t he wants to do things his own way
I understand that everyone has different views, but I agree with the majority of the comments made tonight. Astro was out of line. The performance did exactly what was meant to do, save or eliminate. Although Astro was not eliminated tonight, it won’t be long before he is gone. His attitude and disregard for others, not to mention his true colors were seen tonight. As we all know, X-Factor is not the only competition that exists, and sadly, others as young as he is that have been eliminated have shown/demonstrated more class, respect, and maturity. His poor attitude has lost him several of fans. If this is the way he is now, how would he react if he was famous and financially stable? Would he treat people that surround him with disregard? Treat others as you wish to be treated!!!
Astro needs to be taught manners, & respect for others. I don’t care how young he is, or how talented he THINKS HE IS Bottom line he is a disrespectful little brat. If he wants to play with the big boys, then start acting like one.

While it is true he is only 15 years old and has a tremendous amount of talent, he has always been an arrogant, cocky child. Whether he is winning or losing, his attitude has never been that of a humble contestant who should feel lucky for having this opportunity. And lets be real, his dream wasn’t facing an end and he, as well as the rest of America, knows that. There are probably 5 multi-million dollar contracts set up and awaiting his guardian’s signature the minute he gets voted off this show, which should be soon given the display of disrespect he showed for the program last night. Lastly, if Astro had nothing nice to say, he shouldn’t have said anything. Unfortunately for him, he lost his cool not once, but several times even after being reprimanded by his own mentor and for that he’s got to go.
I totally agree with Steph. I for one lost a lot of respect for the judges last night. In my eyes they have the same attitude as he does for pushing allowing him to stay on the show. You know someone is waiting to sign him so why make us suffer thru another show to watch his attitude glow. I for one will not watch this show until he is off. Sorry Simon you goof on this one. There have been a lot younger children that have been voted off with respect for appreciation for getting this far.
The ZERO TALENT brat cannot sing a lick, and his rapping is nothing more than painful noise to the inner ear. I cannot believe that anyone would ever watch this staged and fixed show any longer. Mr. Glasses (judge) is nothing more than a person trying to bias the outcome by saying this kid has talent (hogwash). Yes, the same Mr. Glasses who told the world’s most leading female talent (you know who) that she would never make it in the music industry. The show should boot Astro out the door and have Mr. Glasses hold his hand on the way out and then lock the door behind the both of them. They belong together.

Sorry Dee but i have to disagree. Astro may be 15 and we do have to keep that in mind but there is another contestant that is 14 on Simon team and she handles herself very poised. It all starts at home. And Im sorry, but when he auditioned he came in with an arrogant attitude then. At 15 you should know right from wrong and how to respect your elders. Thats wats wrong with our kids now, they feel like they have a right to be rude. And when you are competing for this amount of money their needs to be some humility there. Again, it starts at home. This is a nationwide competition not the hood. I hope he doesnt act that way in school…cause he would be on my knee for sure.

I feel that Francis should have beem at least in the top 5 and now we lost her. Astro can only rap whereas the others can sing from rock to ballads to country if they have too.

Dee don’t dismiss his bad and arrogant attitude because he is 15, He is the same age as both Rachel Crow and Drew. HUGE difference in attitude. And I read some back story, Rachel Crow was a crack baby before she was adopted by the family she is wi9th now. So you can’t say that where he came from is the reason. He just has a stinky attitude, and there are much more talented artists out there that could be much more humble than him. They need to give him the heave-ho next week. Good ridence to him, I HOPE. Although I agree he is the more talented out of the two his attitude really stinks. If this was the first time then maybe he should get a pass but remeber on the very first show he had a real arrogant and flip attitude, so much so that LA Reid called him out on it then so the boy has not learned anything at all. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t have been Simon’s decision. If Simon had voted Astro out, it would’ve fell to Deadlock which means they use the actual total number of votes to determine who goes home.

X Factor, while having overall beter talent then the years of Idol, I see very little in differences except these people will get bigger contracts; the one thing I hate is tof see judges pick the “worst” prtformance get to next week; Appears Astro was voted off to begin with, reason Simon stepped in in 1st place. I’m not watching to see childish immature behavior get voted ahead based on potential! Think Astro, while OK in his RAP element just is probably at bottom of heap & will disappear in another week. X Factor not as good as IDOL – really puts final decision in hands of the judges; even the long set of weekly contests is under their control unless there are a few who are truly in front. Hope so! I am already down to a max of 4 potential winners.
What a disappointment this show has become. I would like to thank the American voters for voting off Astro, but unfortunately your votes mean absolutely nothing because the final say are the judges, so why should people waste their time. Simon tells LeRoy that he has no stage presentation and has no chance in winning, I guess all the contestants should act like this immature punk whose ego surpasses his height, a real good role model for our young generation. I do not believe that a 5million contract should be awarded to a talker who has one note. L.A.Ried should sign him up NOW so we don’t have to listen to him week after week. Can’t wait till American Idol starts, at least the contestants will have a fair shot.

I agree also. Why do the bottom two have to perform anyway? The judges are going to pick ‘their’ performer regardless of how good or bad they perform on the night. And given the decision to keep Astro after last night’s tantrums it gives me the feeling that they will save him every time he is in the bottom two irrespective of the other person’s performance.

Although Astro needs an attitude adjustment, I think Stacy showed her bad attitude last night when she was getting criticism from the judges. She deserved to go home not only because her performance wasn’t great but also because she already has experienced fame. She was in a girl group in the 90′s and she recorded a solo cd a couple of years ago. Both can be seen on youtube. She is a scientologist and performed for Tom Cruise’s 50th birthday party. That’s on youtube too. Lets give someone elsse a chanceat fame. But overall I agree that Astro spoiled his chances at winning the prize by showing his arrogance and disrespect toward the judges tonight. I was starting to like the kid too. He’s a great writer. I don’t think he’ll last and he’ll be eliminated next week.

Dee (and others) you can’t have it both ways. People shower praise on him because his is talented and is ONLY 15 years old, however, then overlook his immature and bratty behavior because he is ONLY 15 years old!!! Like others have posted, X Factor is not the only talent show in town, and I’ve seen many other young contestants in his position who did not display such poor behavior and judgement.
I do like some rap songs, but if I am honest, it is not my favorite music genre. But unlike some, I do feel that it is not just talking over music, requires talent and creativity. So my position on this has nothing to do with music genre, race or anything like that. I am not being hateful.

I live in New Zealand and are amazed at the talent that we are seeing and even some of those that will miss in the coming weeks will go on to great careers. I was left speechless by the fact that Stacy Francis was sent home. Astro needs to learn how to sing songs – every song he has performed has been performed as a “rap” version and the beat to that type of music get VERY boring; his performances are all the same – no dirversity; he also needs to grow up and learn humility in the face of probable defeat. He will never get anywhere in the big wide world if he is going to sulk and cry every time something goes against him. Stacy Francis is a wonderfull singer and performer and her voice is beautiful. I think she should be given another chance – as was one of Simon’s “girls” when they were cutting the numbers down to 12!!!!
Before last night Astro was definately in the top three with Melanie and Drew. You cannot deny he has talent but he definately needs to learn some humility. I hope they don’t keep letting him get by with that attitude. There are millions of potential superstars out there who would love a chance like he has been given. Personally I think they should kick him off the show for his attitude and let him grow up a little before letting him make the millions he will definately make some day. Simon, you should have pushed to have him gone. With how he treated the audience he isn’t going to make it much further now anyways, unless the judges keep pushing him through.
I agree with you Michelle, about Nicole not giving her the right songs, but Stacy’s picks wasn’t any better. She blew *Purple Rain* & *I Went To The Mountain* out of the park! She definitly had the voice to take her all the way, but the song choices were terrible. Shame on Nicole. I voted for Stacy EVERY week, except for this week. Her performance and song (to me) was awful. After Astro’s little disrespectful tantrum, I think he’ll be going home soon too. I’m sure he lost a lot of his fans. Including me. I had actually started to like him.

I remember loosing a talent show competition when I was his age. It bleeding me away but I sucked it up and moved on. Critisism is taught in entertainment 101. don’t need his ass whipped, he needs to know that you winsome and you lose some. If I stopped at 15, I’d be a security guard today.

I find this show a joke. If Astro wins the X factor, his life is pretty much screwed. He’ll be contracted to some lousy agency and be releasing the same crap we hear on the radio these days. He will probably get a better deal if he loses and gets signed by diddy or Jay Z. I hope granpa Leroy wins, cause whatever albums he releases will be flops. Same goes to Rachel/Dew, after this is over they can’t be doing covers forever. And no one’s really gonna fork out money for whatever nonsense they release, so i reckon they’ll be releasing songs in the Miley Cyrus/ Justin Bieber category just to sell songs to kids

I think if the judges wouldn’t have been telling him he was gonna win the show and that he was the best then he probably wouldn’t have done what he did! I know if they would have told me that, I would have been pissed. He went on the show lastnight thinking he was through and also thinking he won the show BECAUSE of the judges! Lil Wayne is heavy on drugs and he was in jail and still producing music, Lil Boosie was in jail, TI was in jail, Hannah Montana was posting nudes of herself everywhere, Justin Bieber has a kid, Kayne West has the biggest attitude and dogs out everybody at the music awards, and Lady Gaga has man body parts and dresses like a man and her concert was beyond disgusting but NONE of those things stop people from buying their music and listen to their music and being fans to those people! So if yall can hate on Astro’s attitude that much then yall must not like any famous person because every famous person i know has something wrong with them! Of all the people on X- Factor Astro was the ONLY one that made me want to get up out my seat and start dancing, everybody else either dont know how to sing or I can fall asleep while hearing them sing their boring songs! Astro can put on a million dollar concert! Not only can he rap amazingly but he writes his own music, not one person other than astro does that on this show! THAT IS TRUE TALENT!!!!! Yeah, I agree with Bruce on what the judges were suppose to have based their decision on. The show has told us that these decisions were to be made based off the “performance of their life” (final performance) rather than previous success or lack thereof. That said, I believe this kid is incredibly talented! Not only in his skills as it relates to his delivery, but also keeping in mind that he constructs these lyrics himself at such a young age – he’s amazing! Of course like most others on here, I’m so very disappointed with his attitude. Yet who of us can say we never have exhibited disrespect or showed a level of immaturity when it was uncalled for? Perhaps some of you ladies can, but us dudes… Lets be honest he act immature frequently

An entire group of teens were eliminated. Not one of those teens threw a fit and had the attitude that Astro had. I would have been so appalled if my children behaved that way. He is old enough to understand respect and gratitude, he chose not to use either. He’s not 4 years old, he’s 14, he understands appropriate vs. inappropriate behavior. He not only ruined his xfactor chances, the likelihood of some major record producer banging down his agents door is slim to none, now.

Yes, of course it was dissapointing how he presented himself, but that has nothing to do with whether he will or will not make it in the music industry. The show is based on talent, not attitude. Whether he wins it or not, I truly believe he will make a big splash and become a big star. Give the kid a break…all he proved was that he is not perfect, he is a regular person under all that talent…and 15 IS a kid! He has a lot to handle and a lot to learn. Not everyone acts the same or is the same (wouldn’t that be boring!), so you cannot compare him to other 15 year-olds on the show or other people, period. Everybody is their own person and has their own faults; his, is that he is a kid competing in a grown-up arena. The stage that they are performing on for a Talent Contest is like no OTHER amaterur / semi pro platform. I have issues with the conduct Hip-hop artist tend to condone, yet the fact of the matter is it’s an art form. Not everyone understands it, yet it does speak and with the message is inspirational or at the very least not steeped with sex, and drug dealing it can be an incredible art form. The kid is talented and if you’ve ever listened to the original songs that the instrumentals are taken from clearly you would see that the lyrics are his. To say he’s a “copycat” is very debatable! That said… his attitude was horrible. Yet I also question who of us has never displayed an attitude that we were later shameful of?

I used to go to junior high school in brooklyn ny. There were at least ten kids their that rapped better than this little twerp. And what about that so called judge LA Reid taking a gratuitous shot a Drew before she even performed. This clown sent home two singers who should be there instead of this little punk and even that Marcus Canty kid , who is at least a good and decent young man.

Is he the best rapper I’ve ever heard? No. But he does have incredible stage
presence and a command for the stage. I’ve heard so many rappers over the
years in our studios–good flow…horrible hooks, or no hooks at all, no stage
presence. He definitely has that je ne sais quoi element. HOWEVER, he
will not go far…NOT with that attitude! His insolent demeanor shows in every
performance. But, there were several performances—when a certain glimmer pierces through
that chip that he carries on his shoulder, and it was in those brief moments that I truly saw a star emerge. Unfortunately, not many people will see it because of his attitude. So

They wouldn’t be quite so rebellious if adults weren’t so quick to make exactly these kind of wimpy excuses for unacceptable behavior. Kids today have completely got the adults by the short hairs, and we’re allowing it to happen. Sure, every generation has had its rebellion, that’s the nature of youth, but teens were simply NOT allowed to exhibit this kind of bad behavior and get away with it when I was that age. Adults today make too many excuses and abdicate far too much responsibility. Then, when they’ve created the monsters ( a la Astro and his ilk), it’s excused with platitudes like “oh, he’s just young and rebellious”, “his feelings are hurt”, blah blah blah.
Compare Astro’s behavior to Rachel Crow (who is only 13). She’s always been sweet, appreciative, positive and upbeat. Astro walked onto the show from day 1 with a chip on his shoulder and a bad attitude. The only thing that changed with Astro was the fact that his ego grew larger to match his poor behavior.
Let’s stop using the age factor to excuse poor behavior here…when a 13-year-old behaves better than he does, chalk it up to the fact that maybe the kid is just a jerk.
I think Stacy sang off key the entire song. I don’t care for her, but Astro isn’t my fav either. Not into Hip Hop! BUT he is just a kid. We all make mistakes, and when you’re young, you’re just learning how to handle life. If you noticed, many of the performers were on the verge of tears when it got down to the last few.

It takes incredible talent to use words and form them into poetry. Every song written is a poem. So does a song writer not have talent because they wrote the lyrics, but are not singing? However, after several performances he truly was winning my support–not just for his talent, but I felt that he was beginning to show some humility–boy was I WRONG after tonight’s lack luster performance. He should be ashamed of himself. Astro, if you’re reading this…know that many people are opposed to the genre of hip-hop, because they feel threatened either by the lyrics or by the disrespectful nature of some rappers. It was a gift for you to be on this show, to show the world that rappers–especially a very young black male–can be respectful, dedicated to his craft, and perform with integrity. Tonight, you were an embarrassment to the hip-hop you honored last night. I hope you reflect back on your performance tonight and realize that you have destroyed a gift that was given to you. You’re lack of gratitude is disappointing. Many people who have won shows have been in the bottom several times. Your disdain for the fans who did vote is simply unforgivable. I believe on one of the other shows, Simon told one of the groups going home that he was basing it on the performance that night. Well… if you are going to do that to one.. then you should be consistent. Astro does not sing, he raps and of the two tonight, even with Stacy’s mistakes, she did perform much better than Astro did. Attitude is everything! We certainly would not appreciate huge stars doing that….. especially if we paid for a ticket!

I have been an Astro fan since the beginning of the show and I was so very disappointed in him tonight. I could not believe his bad attitude and poor sportsmanship. I think he is a very talented artist, but he’s young and nieve. He has A LOT to learn about gratitude. If he wants to survive on the show, he needs to apologize for acting like a four year old and beg for his fans back. But really, I think the damage is done.

I think that this kid is going to be in the business and succeed, either performing or writing/producing, but he does need to learn to deal with disappointment a lot better. Frankly though, and this is not excusing him in anyway, he had NO business in the bottom two. That said, he needs to be prepared for that kind of situation by his parents, and by his “mentor” a lot more thoroughly, as he is just a child and his attitude won’t get him as far as the tears that Rachel or Drew can bust out.

Not a racist at all. In fact, I really liked Drew at the auditions, but hearing her slow down song after song with the same trembling voice makes me doubt that she can do more than that. That said, I think she will do well as a future Miley Cyrus clone. Just my personal take.

Astro was clearly the better act regardless of what we think of his attitude, he has a big ego and couldn’t handle being in the bottom two. Stacey was lucky not to be in the bottom two last week and it was inevitable that she would go this week. Also, Stacey demomstrated bad attitude yesterday when Simon gave her negative comments. Anyway, at the end of the day like Simon said he’s going to keep the act that has a chance of winning (i.e. making money for him), so that’s all it really comes down to attitude or not! Simon loves the controversy it’s good for ratings and exposure for the show, so yes he was always going to keep Astro because now everyone’s talking about it, keeps X Factor in the limelight and Simon makes more money!

I cant believe that the judges would reward such disrespectful behavior by not sending Astro home or at least going to deadlock to see what the public decided – the kid is a spoiled brat who undoubtedly will go far (America places more value on swagger and bragadoccio than true talent and unfortunately we have come to accept even applaud disrespectful behavior by public figures). I have seen alot of young children on TV preforming but never seen one like this young man he should have been sent home to take anger management classes if he acts that way now just think what he is going to be like when he grows up. Astro, Astro, Astro!!!! What’s so great about him. This is a singing contest, and he should’ve been singing. I don’t have a problem with the Rappin, but come on. If he’s in this to win a $5,000,000-count the zeros-contract, he should’ve been mentored to do some actual singing. His performances have been the same from week-to-week. He writes his own lyrics to everybody’s rappin songs he’s performed telling me he can’t remember the original artist’s lyrics. What kind of talent is that? Then comes his arrogant cocky little attitude he took because he was in the bottom two. His own mentor should’ve dropped kicked him along with the other judges. It was totally unfair to Stacy. Sure, her performance sucked last night, but she appeared to be ill and not her 100% if anybody tried to notice. She has performed much better than that in the past and deserved to be sent through. I’m not saying she would’ve gone on to win, but she stood a much better chance than this little dweeb. He should count his blessings that he made it as far as he did because the only thing his attitude did was guarantee his getting voted off next week. There had to be some legalities in the background that we don’t know about that allowed this kid to continue. The shame was all over LA’s face and Simon was totally pi…. off. I believe they both wanted to personally walk him out of the building, but something was holding them back. This should be a lesson to all involved with the XFactor production.

Can all you adults judging this fifteen year old BOY think a little bit beyond your prejudice and look at the whole of what this kid did? The folded arms and the tears at the end really tell the story. The folded arms are a defensive posture and when he was reprimanded he cried. I was a fifteen year old boy once and I would have pulled every trick I had out in order not to cry in public, much less on national TV. The fact is that he has been given as much positive support as his parents could in order to make him a success, but they need to work on dealing with setbacks a little too. He is still talented beyond his years.
He may be talented beyond his yrs but you just can’t act like that in a contest. I have been watching these shows for yrs. and not once seen anything like this. I blame the judges for not teaching him how to act come what may. Just getting this far is a fantastic spring board to a career. Simon Cowell could have sent him home and it would have been decided by the most votes. He didn’t have the nerve to even do that. Why even have a sing off? Xfactor isn’t only about singing, its about the X factor. The person with the talent to take over the charts and the world…a crossover hit! So Astro is on the right show. But he is not a punk, he is still a kid, maybe always told he was going to be big so he doesn’t take rejection well. I think he will learn from his mistakes…because no one wants another Kanye. Kanye is extremly talented…but is a real pain in the a$#!

Yes, I was disappointed in Astro’s behavior. But, to compare his behavior to Stacey’s is rediculous. She is 28 yrs. years his senior. Don’t any of you have kids? He is a child!! What 14 yr. old do you know who is mature ALL the time??!! His behavior shouldn’t be viewed as it would if he were an adult. Kids his age can & do act as mature as an adult in some situations AND as immature as a 10 yr. old in others. A 14 yr. old is a “work in progress”, even with the best upbringing.

Come ON! I am not a fan of Rap but I can appreciate the art form. Everyone has gone on and on at how talented Astro is because he writes his own stuff. First of all every week it sounded exactly the same except for adding in someone else s music. And LA wants to moan and groan at how Drew sounds the same every week? I am sorry but I don’t think Astro was any talent, nor do I feel that he added anything to the world of rap. His attitude was evident to me from the beginning, and his actions tonight were no shock to me. Stacy was completely off last night but during the sing off, if that’s what it really was, no doubt should be left that, attitude aside, Astro still should have been voted off based on his performance or lack there of.
Speaking of attitude and those that say leave the poor boy alone he is only 15! HES 15 not 5! A 15 year old should have more ability to control his or herself than that. Most states a 15 year old has the ability to be behind the wheel of a car, with an adult, but behind the wheel all the same. I hope that America votes their disapproval next week. And I hope the judges listen, even though they didn’t listen to a screaming audience tonight. If Astro is ever to be a star, and I wish him the best, maybe his actions are just showing that right now is not his time. He is not the only young person that has had to deal with disapproval on this show, many younger than him took it professionally showing maturity far beyond that of which he has shown tonight.

He is being taught to overcome peoples ignorance and be a strong man. The industry has a lot of people of color and they are pretty huge stars. Need to look back at other talent shows that were not won by white singers. Most of my favorite songs are by singers that are not white. I think hes talented but there just isnt as big a following for just straight rappers that dont also sing even jay z and diddy and eminem sing. Cham, frankly, I think that this kid would do better under someone other than Simon anyways. He is in a genre that doesn’t really play to main street even as it is mainstream. He is a real talent lyrically and he has a strong stage presence. In the end, he will be a force either performing or behind the scenes making someone else a star with his smart, witty lyrics. I also agree with what someone said earlier in their Kanye comparison because he is that precocious and needs to be grounded before he does something that stops him before he starts.

This show is called the X-Factor NOT American Idol! Although, I thought Astro had a bad attitude tonight, I still think that he is the BEST one on the show BY FAR!!!!! He writes his own lyrics and he is an awesome performer. He definately has the X- Factor! When people go to concerts and listen to music it’s not because of the person’s attitude, it’s because of the persons ability as a performer and artist! He would be the BIGGEST money maker of all the people on this show, but I think he may have hurt his chances tonight! He is only fourteen and the judges tell him how great he is every week and that he is probably going to win the show. I think it just came as a shock to him tonight for being in the bottom two and he felt like crying but inside he caught an attitude as a defense to protect himself. He is a fourteen year old boy, he was just trying to be hard! Hopefully, people will still give him a chance because he definately has talent and he DEFINATELY has my vote! LOVE YOU ASTRO!!!!!

Astro knew he was put in the bottom 2 for drama ratings. His tweeted there was something going on behind the scenes. That’s whey he asked LA should he even bother performing since he knew the outcome…meaning he was told he’d be safe. Someone needs to investigate.

I, for one, will NEVER BELIEVE that Astro was actually voted into the bottom two. I believe it was all “staged” to keep Paula on the show, thus saving Dakota Rain, which is a TERRIBLE act. Kids are very intuitive — especially one like Astro, and I believe he was “acting out” because he KNEW he was being lied to by the adults around him. I am not justifying his behavior, I think it was deplorable, and hopefully someone can talk sense into him — like L.A. Reid, his mom, or step-father. However, I do believe that putting Stacy Francis against Astro in the bottom 2 was a “no-brainer.” Astro is exceptional, & the most popular Act on this Show, so of course the judges were going to save him. X Factor needed to get rid of Stacy. It was time for her to go, because she was starting to receive too much negative press, and singing more and more poorly each week. And so, they set up poor Astro. Instinctively he KNEW something was “off,” which is why he behaved like he did. I think that as adults, we should learn to read between the lines, and stop judging these young kids so harshly, especially when WE, the adults, are the ones, MOST TIMES, telling all the lies!

Shame on The X Factor for rewarding a person for their bad behavior which I must say was dispalyed more than once by said person previously on the show. Stacy Francis should have remained and Astro sent on his way. He does have talent, though with an attitude which could prove to be detrimental as shown by & for others in the ‘Music & Enretaining’ industry recently.
I think LA, Simon, and Paula made the right decision. Astro did act disrespectful tonight, but he is 15 and a teenager, he’s going to have attitude problems. astro just ruined his once in a lifetime chance. the kid is talented but has to learn to be humble and take criticism. let’s face it he was fighting an uphill battle to make it this far with rap. don’t get me wrong, i like some rap. the show is called the xfactor which means “the total package” and he just not versatile. he wouldn’t have won the competition, but i think la reid would’ve signed him. astros “quitter” attitude has probably burned all the bridges he’s built to get to his dream.

Another factor, not readily known, is that sick kids tend to remain immature longer than well kids. Parents tend to hover over them more, trying to make their lives easier. They tend to try to compensate for the fact that their child is living with a chronic illness. Astro is a diabetic. As a registered nurse, I can tell you that kids with illnesses,such as diabetes, always seem to act much younger than their actual age. That is the norm and not the exception. Their entire family’s lives tend to rotate around the sick child’s needs…out of necessity. Their lives revolve around doctor’s visits, emergency room visits, checking blood sugars multiple times a day, adjusting imbedded insulin pumps thruout the day, eating on an every 2 to 3 hour scheduleThe teen age years are especially difficult for kids with diabetes. Even though they usually become diabetic at 6-9 yrs. of age, they tend to become very angry & difficult when they reach teenage yrs. Some chose to simply decide they don’t have diabetes & act out by refusing to take their insulin, eating & doing everything that will make them sicker. Others just develop an attitude, in general. Changing hormones raises havoc with their sugar levels & they need constant monitoring. Swings in one’s blood sugar also greatly affects emotions and the ability to control them. Stress can also cause extreme swings in one’s blood sugar levels.I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Astro’s step father immediately checked Astro’s blood sugar as soon as he got off the stage. The stress of waiting for the results could very easily have effected Astro’s blood sugar level.
As an Emergency Room nurse, I can tell you that the stress of studying for final exams at school can send a diabetic kid to the emergency room, so sick that they end up admitted to the intensive care unit.

I think Astro has the most talent on the show…….it’s too bad that his bad attitude WILL be his demise……..as much as I would love to see him make it to the top 3 (Because I honestly think he desserves to be there) I really don’t think America will take to an attitude like the one he showed tonight…….I hope for the best for him…….He has alot of growing up to do so let’s just see how he matures from all this…….Afterall, you have to make mistakes in order to learn from them

Judges should have made an exception and sent them both home! America voted them in the bottom two. But saving Astro was a mistake. He can’t sing — he raps. Stacey is off key a LOT, and she needed to go too. But between the two, Astro should have been taught a lesson that an arrogant ATTITUDE is not appreciated. But apparently Simon thinks it’s okay. Stacey is a wonderful singer, but Astro has a talent that not many have, let along have at his young age. His attitude came down to age, he’s just young and when you’re that young being eliminated in front of millions of people, that has got to be tough on a 14 year old. First of all rapping is not singing. If they wanted to give a 5 million doller prize to a rapper they should have had a rapper contest. I understood when I started watching the XFactor it was a SINGING contest. Secondly Astro has had an attitude since he auditioned, What did the judges expect. I do believe that Stacey should have been sent home, because like someone has said before. She has been given several chances in the past, and the fact that she got herself placed in the bottom two, just shows that maybe she has used up all her chances.
Astro, is in fact 15 years old. And he did just see his future and dreams flash before his eyes by being in the bottom two. Unfortunately he lacks the maturity to handle himself better when in that situation. Because I am very sure that if Rachel Crow, 12, was in the bottom she would hold herself high and sing her precious little heart out and FIGHT for her spot.

Astros attitude has been horrible from the very start. His arrogance and disrespect for the show was first seen during boot camp when he refused to participate in the choreography section of boot camp. While ALL the other contestants worked there asses off to learn the choreography, He just sat down at the back of the stage and acted like it was beneath him! This is a CONTEST, If he didn’t want to participate in a part of the contest that is fine….then go home, do not pass go, do not collect $5 million dollars!!!! He should have been sent home then.
Now I am not a big fan of the rap\hip hop genre and after the event described above was not a fan of Astro. But when the live shows began, I have to say the kid started to grow on me I could start to see.the talent beneath the attitude. That he writes the “lyrics” that he raps every week is very impressive..especially for a 15 year old. Is he a singer? Oh hell to the NO! But the Kid does have talent and maybe he could have a career as a rap artist.
That being said, I do not think that the arrogant, disrespectful, bad attitude of this kid should be tolerated. When you act out in this manner there are consequences to be paid! Last night when he again displayed his contempt to the audience, the voters, and the judges he should have been sent home!

Ok so this is what i have to say about the whole situation. In the beginning we all seen his attitude when he didnt want to dance he had a attitude, that was when i caught the first side of his personality then sized little astro up to be unfocused and strongheaded about the decisions he has made. Now…. ok…… How he acted last night i like the songs he picked out to perform and he has talent. But i will tell you all too well that attitude does go a long way. I was definitely turned off by his attitude for sure. I was my main thing is we all rooting for you astro he let his arrogance get the best of him. I read a tweet somewhere he said people dont know whats going on backstage but first off I didnt do nothing to that little boy for him to go off on me like that. He has a job. It is a $5 million dollar recording contract and not just a singing contract. If it was just a singing contract, Astro would not be in the competition.
As far as his singing ability, we don’t know if he can sing. There are some rappers that can do both and there are some singers that can also rap.
Astro was very disrespectful, but Stacy was never going to win the competition and I like Stacy. Her best performances were Purple Rain and Up to the Mountain.
I am not going to stop watching the show because of one incident. There are some talented people on this show and one person does not stop the show. If Astro is not one of your favorite contestants, you can always skip his performances and watch the other contestants that you support.
Remember this a reality show and they pull all kinds of stunts to get the ratings going. The show is just like Idol, but with a bigger production number. The same type of show and the same BS for the ratings.
The only thing that we can do is support the contestants that we like. I don’t get mad over reality tv or anything that I can’t control. The only thing that I can do is support the artists that I like by buying their CD.
Astro cannot sing and stop giving him excuses for his bad actitud there isn’t an excuse for being rude doesn’t matter at what age.
Re Astro…LA, this is for you…you are the mentor…Mentor your student on more than singing…mentor him that along with a good voice and stage presence, people (fans) also want someone that they can look up to, respect and admire which right now, they do not…If you had done your job properly, this may not have ever happened…the kid is 15….teach him properly…and make sure that you don’t only praise him on his voice, making sure that along with “the voice”, people want someone who is not so full of himself that he acts like a immature baby if he doesn’t get what he wants or thinks he deserves which is exactly what he did last night…Astros actions did little to inspire people…if anything, he just turned off a nation of potential fans…

I’m really getting disappointed in the show. Every time Astro comes on I have to mute my television. I really think he needs to sing a song to be judged equal to the others. If he can’t sing then he should go. He has a very big attitude for such a little man and will only get worse as he grows up. Yes Stacie’s attitude on stage wasn’t great either but at least she could sing.
I knew Stacey would end up in the bottom two because she not only gave a substandard performance the night before, but took it badly when she was criticized by the judges. A crappy attitude isn’t going to win votes (as I’m sure Astro will discover going forward). So … she didn’t have a prayer. As for Astro, I agree that the kid shouldn’t win. He might be a star in a few years (after he’s taken some classes at the School of Hard Knocks), but he’s just not mature enough to handle instant acclaim now…he proved that last night.
Frankly, I feel if Astro had been in the bottom two with someone any better than Stacey, Simon would have voted him down and it would have gone to the deadlock vote count. But she was terrible and Simon made the right call … and it kills me to say it. The kid is arrogant, spoiled and acts as if he’s already paid his dues and MUST be treated like a star. No good will come from handing a kid a five million dollar contract who believes his genius alone entitles him to receive it. During the entire competition we have fast forwarded the DVR through this little obnoxious twit’s performances. While I am not a fan of the rap venue, Astro is probably as talented as many other rappers and, let’s face it, the judges want the winner to be successful thereby guaranteeing future years of viewership. If the show is to have any longetivity though, then the judges need to respect the results of the viewers who will ultimately make the performer successful. If they save this character again, then the show is doomed as well as Astro.

Astro is young but so it the young girl and she showed some stress by crying too. Although many older ones have cried and behaved badly and went thru in the past. I’m glad they gave Astro another shot to go out in a better fashion. If he blows it with attitude next time he’ll be jepordizing his whole career..LA and Simon like him..bet they fly Astro’s mom in to give him a little TLC..:) Stacey deserved to go a long time ago. I do not know how credible this X Factor is…..after Chris Rene was announced to be safe, the tv caught a glimpse of Simon Cowell whispering something to Melanie Amaro. Then Melanie was told she’s safe. So does the judges know the results before hand?
And i cannot comprehend a singing competition to have effects as shown used by Drew yesterday. Drew no doubt is a good singer but why allowed delays and effect to be used. It should be on pure vocals. Same as during the performance at the Judges home….all edited with effects…..yeah, all sung outdoor but why that in the first place?
And back to Astro not voted out….the conspiracy theorist would want to believe that the “noise” about Stacy alleged “professional” past is the real reason why she is voted out…..
Talent? Astro has arrogance. That is not talent. I was writing grade school rhymes better than he when I was 15. If you listen to what he writes, the lyrics are all about him and how great he is.
LA and Simon nearly pee themselves every time they see him perform because they fantasize all the millions they will make when they attach themselves to his contract.
How is the seduction those two judges put on their under age charges any different than what a pimp, drug pusher or child molester does to seduce their victims so they themselves can benefit?
Astro is still young. He just needs time to grow up. But, LA and Simon fill his head with great expectations. Do you think either of them care that a young adult like Astro will be a drug addict before he is 20 because he was thrown into a greedy and complex business before he was ready? Of course not. They will have made their money by then.
Astro needs to go home, spend time with his adult family members and perhaps return in a couple years when he is more able to deal with his own behavior and emotions. If he is truly talented as a writer, he will have had a chance to develop it more deeply.
In my view he is seen as a money train by the people he now has come to trust to guide him.
I am really disappointed in Simon. If this were American Idol his comments would have been quite a bit more harsh and he would have kicked him out. Kid’s talented but, there is more to life than that. He really started to leave Melanie out and keep this punk in?? I am invested in some of these people and believe that real talent does exist here therefore, I will continue watching. The judging sucks and each judge refuses to make a negative comments about their own and will likely never vote their own off. NO MATTER WHAT! Last night proved that. I will not watch another season.

All the people dissing Astro need to realize that the 15 year old kid has the best rapping talent America has seen ever. He’s always put on a great performance and has never let his fans down. It may have been disrespectful what he displayed on last nights eliminations, however people grow from experience and learn from mistakes, there is no doubt this young man should win the 5MILLION dollar contract. Also, going from his tweet, no one knows what goes behind the scences, and he wouldn’t of tweeted that if everything was fine. And lastly, he shouldnt have even been put in the position he was in last night with all the talent he brings. You guys are losing a prodigy. Truely, a canadian.

Interesting to read all the comments about last night’s results, however; my opinion is astro is not worthy of winning the competition. He is creative and a self starter, but has a lot of life to learn. In the music industry just like in corporate america, your attitude play a large part in your success. Its ok to be strong willed, but don’t forget to respect in the process. I personally think this child is very arogant and defiant in him home and he is going to do what he want and how he want. My focus is off astro. I will continue to watch the show, but not his performances (not deserving). I am excited to see what the other contestant do next week. My favorite is Melaine. By letting Astro get away with disrespect and arrogance, that gives the wrong message to every child or adult for that matter, who watches the show. A lot is being made of his youth but are there not two other young (possibly younger) contestants, who so far, have behaved appropriately?
I happen to like Simon Cowell and I was hoping that his new show would be a hit in the US. However, if the X Factor ever wants to approach the popularity of American Idol, it took a huge giant step backwards last night. Simon had the ability to “do the right thing” and didn’t. How he believes that this spoiled immature little cry baby will ever garner enough votes to remain on the show is beyond me. I believe he allowed this kid to remain simply to boost the ratings. Millions are going to watch next week simply to see the antics of this kid when he lands in the bottom two again. If they save him again, Simon might as well pack it up and take his road show back to Great Britain! In the meantime, Stacey got the shaft! Granted, she was never going to win X Factor, but she didn’t deserve to be sent home in hopes that a sniveling pampered brat could somehow win back the hearts and minds of American voters. Simon, hear this, the kid screwed up and you can go ahead and stick a fork in him, you also screwed up and you better rely on fairness in the future or that same fork could work for you….
Although I believe that Astro’s performance on Wednesday night was much better than Stacey’s, his attitude alone should have sent him home yesterday. Unfortunately, this is all about making money. If Astro is sent home now, he could potentially sign with someone else like JayZ. If they keep him around long enough, he’s under contract with XFactor and Simon Cowell. Stacey on the other hand has a chance at being signed by someone else right now. Although she is pretty good, she has had some pitch issues of late. Her performance on Wed was awful and she knows it. Her performance yesterday was much better but I would not have chosen that song. Look at Daughtry as an example. Chris went out and formed his band and they are one of the biggest most talented groups out there and they are NOT under a strict contract with 19 Entertainment or Simon Fuller only, they are also backed by RCA and Sony.

I’m appalled that the judges sent Stacey home after the disrespect that Astro displayed. Stacey is a powerful singer and was capable of staying several more weeks with her talent. Astro was arrogant in his audition performance and although he has acted nice since, his true nature emerged again last night and it will again. Although very talented, he’s not ready for the disappointments and trials that go along with the entertainment business. He needs time to mature. I wish Simon would reverse his vote and send Astro home and bring Stacey back. She was one of the ones I figured would be in the top 4.
I liked Stacey too and I think she could have had a chance if she had had a competent mentor. You’re pretty much doomed to failure when your mentor’s only claim to fame is as a has-been Pussycat Doll whose band was basically obliterated by its former opening act, Lady Gaga. Assigned to Nicole? Talk about drawing the short straw.
Simon had a lot more to say to Astro, but if you notice, that show has an issue keeping within the timeframe. They’re always out of time at the end and the judges have more comments. In my opinion, Astro is miles ahead of the other contestants in his performances. Almost all of the other contestants have bad song choices or no personality and that’s why they’re not standing out. Stacey Francis definitely needed to go home….all Astro had to do was keep his composure, but the spoiled child in him wouldn’t allow it. Dissapointed in Astro!

Astra should have been gone after last night. I think Stacey Francies showed grace and was very humble under pressure. I know in her sing-off her nervousness showed. I don’t think she is the best, but she is good, and I hope she makes a very good career of it.
But what Astro does, many others that are more thankful and humble could do. Look at Chris Rene, he also raps, but he is a very humble and thankful person doing it as are all the rest in this competition EXCEPT Astro. Many keep excusing him because of his age, but he is the same age as Drew and Rachel Crow. HUGE difference in attitude.
We don’t need another pompous, belligerent, arrogant, whiny crybaby, raper. There are TOO many entertainers like that out there with way more talent.

The young entertainer/rapper was rewarded for his inexcusable behavior and bad attitude. He should have been sent home by Simon, even though Stacey’s performances have been sub-par and lacking any signs of a real X factor. She would have eventually been ousted from the pack and, in my opinion, never had a real chance in winning (as she is pitched challegened… and more of a church singer than a pop star). Astro seems like an entertainer who will always be unable to cope with an industry full of unforgiving critics and fickle audiences. Even when he grows up, he will have a chip on his shoulder… that much is evident based on his behavior. The world doesn’t owe the young man anything… and even at his age that should be obvious to him. The bottom line here is that he has an entitlement mentality… and showed disrepect to the audience, the show, the producers of the show, and the judges. In the music business, one must be able to accept constructive criticism and rise above it, while showing respect to one’s mentors, elders, audience, and yes… even the critics. Sure, let’s all use the excuse that he is young… and just avoid the real issue here. My 13-year old step-daughter or 11-year old grand-daughter would never have acted like that… simply because they were raised to respect others. They would have been grateful for the opportunity just to perform on such a high visibility show. Astro acted fine and mature as long as the feedback was positive… but becomes disrespectful once he is reminded of his limitations. Perhaps the judges were unwise to continually give him an excessive amount of praise, which served to bloat his young ego out of proportion. He did a rap song for a rock venue and ended up in the bottom two…not surprising how America voted on “Rock Week”. Kayne West can pull off the attitude given his loyal fan base and clout in the hip hop industry… but Kayne’s paid his dues to get to the top. Astro is a kid who can rap well…but dues paid are non-existent. There are probably thousands of kids just like him them across America with as much or more talent… and a more respectful attitude… who would have loved to been in his place… even in the bootom two. After his unacceptable display, my guess is that America will vote him off the show very soon — a logical consequence… and likely based on the reaction of the crowd and sentiment on the streets and blogs. It will be an outcome that will serve to teach young and up-and-coming artists how not to behave in an increasingly competitive pop music industry (where audiences will turn against you once you turn against them). After all, a pop entertainer is nothing without an audience… and they must humble themselves to that fact. Having humility and maintaining respect for others is part of the X-factor.
I refuse to watch X Factor anymore as of last night due to the bad taste of the judges to keep on a spoiled little brat who cannot sing. He is rude and misbehaving and does not bring anything to the plate.

I recall this young man being cocky and rude at auditions. I wondered why the judges seemed to applaude his attitude then…..should have been nipped in the bud perhaps. I truly believe all contestants should give a stab at singing the genre of the week….Astra cannot do this or perhaps chooses not to. Not sure about that one.
I see it differently – while I felt saddened by Astro’s behavior I don’t think it was a temper tantrum.
The boy was hurt. He was feeling vulnerable. He was feeling sad, rejected and unappreciated and this was too much to bear – particularly because he was processing these feelings on national TV in front of millions. So he was like, “Whatever, I don’t care,” – his defensive mechanism – only because he cared SO MUCH – hence the tears.
Listen to the tears not the bravado. He acted as he did because he was hurting. (Which is why I believe him when he said to Simon, “I don’t mean no disrespect.”) He was trying to care for his hurt – can you imagine being in his shoes and being that vulnerable on national TV, where you pour your heart out into your music and then it feels rejected?
Think of a wounded animal who lashes out when it’s hurt. You don’t blame the animal, you help it! You soothe the wound.
He needs our love to grow up and mature, not our judgment. Nor our shame. Neither does his mom deserve our judgment. Instead of slamming him we can come alongside him and point out, “Perhaps you can handle this differently next time.” And we can comfort him in his sadness and feelings of rejection.
What courage all those contestants show to be so vulnerable! I bow to them all, knowing that if I were in their shoes, I probably wouldn’t be able to do any different.

Astro has a bad attitude and needs to go. Stacy was terrible. I’m glad she’s gone. My mother and I won’t be watching the X Factor anymore because of the bickering between the judges. In addtion, the judges criticisms of the contestants are untrue. They keep on telling some contestants that they are the best and that is simply not true. The American audience will vote honestly to vote off the awful performers. The show should not have theme nights if all the judges do not comply with the selected theme. First off, Astro refused to learn any of the dance routine in the beginning of the series. He has also been allowed to do the kind of music which is suited to him week after week, when other contestants have not had that break or opportunity.
He may only be 114-15 years old, but his whole attidued was terrible… and as a father of two teenagers 13 & 15, I can tell you this *my kids have never acted like spoilt brats.*
IMO he has done nothing but harm his chances of winning this competition, I bet you any money that he makes an apology next week.

A true artist doesn’t care whether or not he has an audience. A true artist performs what is in his soul. A gloryhound worries about an audience and acts like a prima donna. I have worked with kids for over 25 years and the way he acted is immature for his age and his dreams. I think that all of the contestants work very hard and all have a need and not just a desire for winning. I think that the judges did the young man a disservice by not sending him home for his attitude. I have witnessed what this attitude has done to my students over the past five years and the outcome is not pretty. I think that in the future that talent shows that allow contestants under the age of 18 should require that they undergo a personality inventory and interview with a psychologist to make sure that they are emotionally able to handle the stress of competition and can handle disappointment. Otherwise, I see it as a form of child neglect or even abuse.

Albeit, he is fifteen years old, which in my opinion, truly shows why he should have not been put through…he is not ready for a position of this stature…emotionally or mentally.
Stacey Francis should have been put through. She sang beautifully and awaited the judges decision patiently. Even with all that she has been through in her life, she took the news like a champ.
I think the little ingrate should be sent packing! If he is this bad being a 14 year old nothing, he is going to be a real prize when he gets older. I keep hearing from the judges how some people sound the same each week. But they are all guilty of that. Astro is the same week after week with just a different track behind him. Drew is also the same every week, others are as well. Most can’t seem to even keep on key!! I think Idol is A LOT better than this crap! Also, they should stop telling them how great they are since most weeks they suck. They are going to end up with a lot of disillusioned people when they get booted off.
There is no doubt that Astro has a talent and a good work ethic. All of the drama on last nights show aside. I don’t think either one of them would have won in the end. Stacey has a great voice but too often goes over the top with her renditions. And I can’t see a Rap artist winning no mater how good they are. Eventhough Rap has a large following I just don’t think it has the universal appeal that is needed to win this type of competition. I think alot of Astro’s support comes from the amount of talent he has at his age. And of course as Rihanna stated, he is just so cute, but at some point it will come down to who the audience really thinks are the best singers, and we may be at that point now. In the end when put up against singers with more universal appeal such as Melanie, Josh, Leroy, Rachel and some others I just don’t see a Rap artist winning. Of course no one needs to worry about Astro, it should be very obvious to everyone that LA is going to take him under his wing and promote him win or lose. What really should be bothering everyone is the way that these judges are being so hypocritical. LA is constantly getting on the performers for singing the same type songs when Astro doesn’t do anything but Rap and he jumped on Lacoda Rayne for not making up their mind what kind of songs they wanted to sing. And Simon is his usual inconsistant self. He gets on one performer about singing caberet and then brings his girls out and to sing similar songs and praises them for being different and true to their selves. If he is giving Drew leadership he is leading her right down the path of losing. She was much more entertaining before these last couple of weeks. Also they seem to critisize the contestestants for things that are not their decisions.
Also there seems to be alot of critisism of Nicole. She may not be one of the better mentors but she seems to give more encouragement than the others and rarely gives harsh comments. Also Simon seems to keep her on the diffensive. If the truth be known he probably has the hots for her. I can’t say that I would blame him. In the end I don’t think any of the remaining contestants will fare to bad in the future. They are an extremely talented group.
After last night with Astro’s atrocious bratty behavior, and then Simon scolding him, then
voting him IN to save him, — I am done! I will never watch X Factor again. My opinion of this show is that it is a poorly produced show. It is so phony. They praise everyone and tell them they will win. Wrong! Judges should not be mentors, or take them to their homes and get so tied into their group. Paula’s weeping and inability to even vote was ridiculous! They are JUDGES, for goodness sake! Grow up!
The show’s ratings are continuing to drop because they are focusing the show to residents of the ghetto and to gangsters in the hood. Big mistake. The number one selling genre right now is country (Sugarland, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift anyone?) and the broad spectrum of America is not going to buy Astro crap, no matter what the stupid judges on the X-Factor say.
This had nothing to do with Astro. He is a very imature boy and not ready for this kind of attention. We have enjoyed the show, but the attitude of the judges and the approach they took in dealing with a tantrum is an example of why they have lost respect by so many of there fans. You need to get it together and realize the XFACTOR AUDIENCE WANTS YOU TO DO A FAIR AND HONEST JOB OF EVALUATING TALENT.
This is a singing competition not a rap competition! Astro is talented at what he does which is fast talking to music.
He can’t sing. Rap is Crap. I personally would like to see Astro and his rap go back to the streets. It is not fair to judge all of the real singers on pitch, tone and key of their voice when Astro doesn’t have to worry about that when he raps…..it doesn’t even come into play. He talks fast and that’s about it, one can’t even tell if he has made a mistake or forgotten his words.
Bottom 2 sing for your life isn’t working. If Astro didn’t want to sing for his life then Stacy should have been automatically put through whether she was going to win or not. Otherwise, what is sing for your life for your last chance all about? It’s so the judges can see who is really serious and deserving. Astro has yet to sing! Other contestants are criticized for range, same ol, pitch, etc. Rap Hip Hop has it’s place but over and over is not exciting. It’s apparent that LA is going to make him a star so get him off the show so we can really have the real talent judged. Astro’s attitude mixed with $5mil is a disaster waiting to happen. He should be voted off, go home, think, and come back next year with humility…no rewards should be awarded to him this year. Make him sing something so people can access whether he really has any talent. Shame on the judges…won’t watch the show until Astro is gone.
I think that this show is getting totally out of hand. What A POOR EXAMPLE the show has shown to kids EVERYWHERE, that you can be voted in the bottom two and then be totally DISRESPECTFUL to the judges, the audience and everyone watching, AND GET AWAY WITH IT. STACEY did the better job in the sing off and they knew it but they still kept the twirp. Astro always sounds the same. Yes he can write lyrics, but he not singing, he is talking. The judges better think long and hard about, always putting each other down all the time, for the sake of their own people.

This show premiered will a lot of hoop-laa and is proving itself to be a complete farce. When the judges are in the mood they blow and go about the X-Factor and a 5 million dollar act and in the next breath they are nominating an act that throws tantrums on stage in front of millions of viewers. I can only imagine this kid acting like a twit the first time he is in concert and gets a hormone rush. The biggest mistake America is making is allowing Mr. Ego (Simon) to think he is the authority on what is talent in this country. After sitting here week after week watching the judges destroy talent just to pester other judges is even more juvenile than Astro’s shenanigans. I can only pray that something, anything replaces this joke of a talent competition next season. Simon has finally been given enough rope and has done an excellent job of hanging himself. Poor Pepsi getting snookered into sponsoring this mess.

I think Astro should go home. It is obvious that he has talent but from last weeks performance I think he should be gone. He is 15… thats not a kid, he is a teenager and should have more respect then that. He is WAY too cocky and arrogant. He needs to be brought down a few notches. I think he needs to go home, grow up and then try again. There is no way he could handle the pressure of the business right now with that attitude. There are way more ups and downs in that industry and if he can’t handle being in the bottom two of some talent show… lol He is screwed.
Attitude or no attitude, both Paula and Simon should have sent him home. The fact he behaved that way unexpectedly and they voted him to stay shows that the decision was made to send Stacy home before they even performed.
There has to be more to the story. Look at Simon’s face when Stacy was thanking the judges, he looked guilty and embarrassed.
This show is about 5 Million dollars and Pepsi.

I don’t think I have ever seen a bigger mistake made on these talent shows before; Stacy Francis has the most magical mesmerizing voice I’ve ever heard. Some of the song choices made for her were not the best but still the talent was always there even if you just count Natural Woman and Summertime alone, LA said it best “it was ground breaking”. I’ve said it before borrowing someone else’s words “If music be the fruit of life then play on girl, play on” don’t give up. You ARE NOT TOO OLD, look at Ms. Etta James, (RIP), Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughn. And for her to be put in the same category as that spoiled brat Astro, that was just ludicrous. I pray to God that Simon or LA Reed work with her and offer a contract and put her out there FRONT AND CENTER because that is where she belongs! I stopped watching
