Taylor Swift had an amazing time at the AMAS 2011 last night, walking away with top honors as Favorite Female Country Artist, Favorite Country Album and – the biggest award of the night – Artist of the Year.
She seemed genuinely surprised with each award (not sure how she could be so surprised after winning SO MANY awards over the years) as she thanked her fans and family for all their support.
“This is one of the craziest things that has ever happened to me. Thank you to the fans. Please, never change.”
And while Taylor may have walked away with 3 of the most coveted awards the music industry has to offer, she was also paid big compliments by her fellow musicians – especially Katy Perry.
In addition to being thanked by Nicki Minaj during her acceptance speech last night, Katy Perry tweeted Swift after the awards with this heartfelt message:
“@taylorswift13 congrats girl. U wrote every single NOTE & LYRIC for Speak Now. That is not an easy feat. You deserve every bit of tonight.”
