Kim Kardashian Divorce 2011: Was Kris Humphries Verbally Abusive?
Kim Kardashian has gotten most of the flak for ending her lavishly public marriage to Kris Humphries just 72 days after it began with a televised special of a wedding. But, according to a new Us Weekly feature, Humphries was far from the innocent discarded husband that he’s occasionally been made out to be.
According to Us Weekly’s sources, Humphries dove right into the luxurious and over the top lifestyle available to him as a new Kardashian, staying out at clubs in New York in Los Angeles and demanding perks and services wherever he went. Given that Kardashian has a reputation for early nights and doesn’t drink much, it’s not terribly surprising that this kind of lifestyle caused conflicts right away.
But Us insider sources make it clear that a taste for the good life was by far not Humphries worst offense. ”He belittled her in front of people,” an insider told Us. “He’d call her stupid. It was truly sickening.”
Us Weekly’s source continued to say that Humphries resented his wife’s fame. ”He tried to control Kim by bringing her down…He would say truly terrible things. One time, he said she had no talent and her fame wouldn’t last.”
