X Factor USA fans just said goodbye to another contestant as the second elimination of the night has just been announced.
Earlier this episode, it was Lakoda Rayne who received the bad news that they would not be competing next week. In the bottom two afterwards were Marcus Canty and Leroy Bell.
Both artists had a lot going for them – and yet it didn’t seem like either was going to win. I don’t think it will come as much of a surprise to anyone that one of these two acts were eliminated but it’s definitely unfortunate that their journey is over as they are both great singers.
At the end of the episode, it was announced – after a deadlock with the judges which led to fan votes – was Leroy Bell.

Actually, Drew’s voice is the most unpleasant one out there. She will be eliminated soon. I hope right after Astro. She can’t sing. If you pay attention, she pauses so often in her singing as if she was talking. Josh to win!
That’s it. I’m done. Simon went for ratings. It was obvious Leroy sang better for his life. What about the rules. What does it mean to sing for your life? One judge went for his protege. The last one went for ratings. Talent had no chance.

If you want to use the argument that Simon let America’s choice be the result, then he should have done that last week with Astro. How could Simon say that Marcus has the edge of LeRoy in performances when all he has done is be critical of Marcus until last night. It had nothing to do with who was the better singer and performer and everything to do with age and wanting to smooth things over with LA. Simon has made some piss poor decisions this year – sending Melanie home, allowing Drew to consistently sing the same sounding songs week after week – when she comes on I know it’s time to take that bathroom break cos I know I won’t hear anything new, keeping Astro, and sending LeRoy home.

I agree. They know LeRoy was the better one. L.A. started off pleading with the judges to choose Marcus. I have always felt that Simon told the truth to all singers (he would say what others wouldn’t say, but wanted to). He even stated that LeRoy sang better than Marcus and instead of choosing LeRoy (he punked out) and let the audience make the decision.
Leroy was in my top 3. If the audience got to vote on the final performance Leroy killed. Simon dropped the ball, gutless move on his part.

Leroy was too talented! The show won’t be the same without him!! His range can’t even be compared to Marcus’! It’s phenomenal! I truly hope that Leroy lands a record deal based off of what he’s shown thus far, because he’s shown he’s talented enough!!
Drew is Great
Leroy’s voice is consistent..consistently the same. I don’t believe he & a few of the others are strong contenders for a singing competition, but then again this show is not like “The Voice”. I have been surprised at how far Leroy’s made it though and his story is inspiring but I agree with L.A. saying he’s boring. Marcus has an amazing vocal range and singing voice. & hideous? Well he is no looker, but his voice is beautiful and pure with a great pitch.
I was relieved he stayed in the competition.
Marcus was hideous last night. He should have gone. This show is officially now a snoozefest.

Leroy had the best vocals on the show. He blew everyone else away. He was also a smoking hot cool cat. A complete package! The judges and audience really messed it up in a big way tonight. So sad to see this talent leave. Drew has to go. I don’t get the Drew craze. She has a decent voice but far from excellent, and is unique because she almost yodels the lyrics. But she is somewhat boring and predictable week after week with below average stage performance. The goofy buck-toothed teeny bopper must go. She seems sweet but lacks the x factor!!! Love you Leroy…
So you think Drew sounds the same every week? What about Astro? As far as I can tell, he may be singing the same thing week after week. There is some incredible talent on the show and Astro is a one trick pony.
Drew’s voice is weak. She is a weak singer in general. The ones with the best voices by far are Josh, Melanie and Rachel. The rappers need to go– both of them.
I think that Josh is the best one in the show, every week I look forward to hearing him sing. Go Josh you are the best me and my mom vote for you every week we want to see you win good luck you sure deserve to win

I agree with the others regarding the sing-off. Simon said LeRoy did better but let him go. Didn’t
do that last time, why this time?! It’s a stupid format and if you have a stupid format in place then use it, stick by it and make a decision based on the sing-off format. Good God it’s Simon’s show and he didn’t even stick to the rules.
I think he should live up to his mistake and bring LeRoy back. Why did they let two go this week
anyway? If he doesn’t I’m done. NOt watching again. Hope Melanie or Josh win but really thought LeRoy would be in the last 3 or 4. Should have been based on the performance. He has a great soulful voice and I’d buy his cd. Hopefully someone will give him a deal. But really, why watch if one week they use the singoff results and the next they don’t. Just too aggravating!!!

Why have a sing-off for survival when the judges don’t have to decide based on this performance? Leroy brought the house down with a brilliant final performance, but it made no difference, so the rules mean nothing. Utterly disappointing to see such a sham!
It is UNBELIEVABLE that they let Leroy Bell go …if you want to compare him to someone famous…it is without a doubt Michael Bolton….if age is more important than talent then they should never allow anyone to audition over the age limit…oh my gosh…Leroy has a beautiful raspy voice all his own…I would buy his music tonight if possible..Marcus has a good voice too but there is nothing unique about it…but Leroy could make you cry…he sings so beautifully….Someone dropped the ball tonight…………….
Yes Astro sounds the same week after week but he is a rapper 100% & that’s the way rap is. He is like all rappers; however, he is extremely talented and better than most. His vocals aren’t amazing but he’s entertaining and fun to watch. He creates his own lyrics and puts them together very cleverly. He is an entertainer for sure. If you listen to his words, although simple, the message is always positive (not garbage!). He acted bratty one week but he is a young kid. Not a fan of rap actually, but Astro is talented. Drew has to go! I am upset she is still on the show. And I’m more upset that the best singer, Leroy is gone. No reason to watch anymore…

I was hoping based on vocals for Leroy or Chris Rene to go home.
When I hear Leroy its just average he is a music teacher & sounds as one should. He can sing & so can I, & anyone else that can belt a note & throw in some vibrato but that doesn’t mean I’m pursuing a music career. I do believe though his voice was better & doesn’t sound as tired and forced as it does now at his age. Marcus’s save me song was not overdone and I was surprised with what he could do with his voice. I kept replaying this performance & loved it; regardless of what the judges said. &Leroy had to fight harder of course because his voice can’t compare to the vocal range and ability marcus has.

I see mostly fans of Leroy on here. But there are a handful of people who have lost their minds, stating that he (Leroy) is boring and the right person was sent home. The craziest comment is about Leroy being “average”. And we can all belt out a note… huh? I hope this comment was intended to be a joke because it was laughable! Or perhaps these silly comments are from very young people who can’t yet recognize raw talent. The facts remain, everyone can sing but 98% sound miserable; Leroy’s voice was far from tired and forced but was soulful, moving, sexy and effortless; Leroy had the best vocals on the show. Anyone over 30 would appreciate his talent and genre of music which is that of “rock” (soft, bluesy). Drew lacks the vocals just like her idol, Mr Justin Beiber. Leroy = hot, sexy, cool,

The X Factor judges are not playing according to the rules. On elimination nights, they
are supposed to save the contestant who gives the best SINGING performance THAT NIGHT. Instead, the judges vote for those they mentor or those they think might have the
best chance of winning the competition…or they vote to spite one another. What is the point of a “sing off”, if the best doesn’t win. It hasn’t mattered that much until 11/23/11. Prior to the 11/23/11 sing off, it was pretty ho hum…neither act was good. Last night, LeRoy Bell clearly won over Marus Canty. Three of the four judges (L.A. Reid voted for the act he mentors.) clearly said Leroy Bell won the night. (Of course Niclole voted for LeRoy, whom she mentors, but she was right in doing so.) 3 of the 4 judges said LeRoy Bell won the night, and then Simon whimped on the intent of the sing off and chose deadlock, letting the voters from the night before decide. Marcus Canty has now been saved TWICE…what’s with that? Astro was saved after initially declining to sing when he was in the bottom two the week before. If he is old enough to be in the competition, he is old enough to act accordingly. Like Marcus Canty 11/23/11, Astro should have been sent packing 11/16/11.
The X Factor judges, we are told, all agreed that Simon made an error in not selecting
Melanie for the finals. They changed the rules and brought Melanie back. This sent a
precedence for admitting a wrong and correcting. The judges were clearly wrong in
allowing LeRoy Bell to be sent home 11/23/11. The producers of the show should
now due the right thing and bring back LeRoy Bell…and fans should demand that, in
fairness, they do so. Of course, after being saved twice already, Marcus Canty should
also be officially sent home before next week, but the best we can hope for, I think, is
that the producers will have the decency to bring back LeRoy Bell to perform again

Broderick, you sound very immature and mean spirited. Rachel is chunky ( not fat ) and absolutely adorable. Her vocal ability is also amazing. Yes, Leroy is very handsome and sexy. Most sane women over the age of 30 would agree.
He was also incredibly talented. Don’t knock the others because of physical appearance. That shows your shallow personality and inability to judge on talent. Drew is actually the least talented and should have been eliminated. She seems sweet and has a nice personality. And she is mature; however, she is not a star. I won’t be cruel but I’d like to add, she is not a beauty. Just a goofy, likeable buck-toothed little girl with a girl next door vibe. Rock on Leroy. Bye bye Drew!
Agree with Melissa and Wisconsin fan! Leroy is/was amazing. How can we get him back? The judges aren’t following their own rules. How crappy!!! I am a 34 year old female and almost fell off my chair when I found out his age. Geez, he blows away most 40 year old guys. God, I hope my hubby looks like that at 60, lol. Aside from looks, his voice was super star quality. Melanie and Rachel have great vocal talent. Chris, Marcus, and Astro are very good performers and fun to watch. Josh has an amazing voice but lacks the x factor. Adios, Drew. She needs to go!

Fans should swamp The X Factor with tweets and emails demanding that LeRoy Bell
be brought back 11/30/11. He won the night fair and square 11/23/11; yet Simon
whimped out and allowed deadlock to send home the wrong contestant. Marcus Canty
should have been sent home weeks ago, the first time he was saved. I suppose the
producers can’t jettison Marcus now without angering his fans, but they can do the right
thing and bring LeRoy Bell back. Again, they set a precedent for correcting a mistake,
when all of the judges agreed with Simon and brought Melissa back. I agree with Lee Z
and others. Drew needs to go home , along with Marcus, Astro, and Chris. This is
a singing talent competition. I know some will disagree, but rap and or hip hop are not

He is the total package. He has a following and their is a need for his talent and what he has to offer. I grew up on the temptations, 4tops, smokey and the miracles, isley brothers. Delphonics, stylistics, earth wind and fire and others but because of time and life they are no more and we still have a need and desire for talent like leroy bell’s. Im very dissapointed in xfactor decision not to follow their rules in voting for the person who performed the best. I’m also dissapointed in the tactics that LA uses in trying to discourage people for voting for the best contestants. LA pleading for the other judges to not vote for leroy was pathetic. Simon i really thought you had more balls than u did when letting the viewers decide by trying to save face with LA. Makes you not want to watch the show if infair tactics are going to continue. Best of luck to the contestants who are left and your fate will truly be decided on your performance and not who is trying to save face with another judge/mentor
