Kim Kardashian Divorce 2011: Kris Humphries Wants Prenup Dismissed!
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries seemed to be relatively civil in their divorce proceedings but, as with everything Kardashian-related, this wasn’t about to go down without a little bit of drama.
Kim’s ex, Kris Humphries, formally filed a response to the divorce proceedings that Kim initiated. In the papers, he asks that the marriage be annulled, not divorced, on the grounds of “fraud.”
If the marriage is annulled, the prenup that each party signed becomes null. But if you’re thinking that Kris is after Kim’s money, that’s not the case at all. So what does he want? Freedom of speech.
According to sources, the prenup has a confidentiality clause that prohibits either party from speaking publicly about their divorce. As many of you have seen, Kim has publicly spoken out about the breakup, insisting the marriage was not a sham, but Kris wants to tell his side of the story as well.
In addition, Kim’s reality show Kourtney and Kim Take New York has seen a huge surge in ratings this year – mostly due to the divorce – and Kris thinks he deserves a cut of the action.
