Giuliana Rancic announced that she had breast cancer just a few months ago but her road to recovery has not been as smooth as she had initially hoped.
Giuliana and her husband Bill Rancic sat down with Today Show host Ann Curry to give viewers an update on her diagnosis and her plans for the near future.
While many were hoping for good news, the E! host explained that the early treatments she received were ineffective so she has made the decision to have a double mastectomy.
“Instead of radiation, I’m going to go ahead and move forward,” she told Ann Curry this morning regarding her decision to undergo the double mastectomy. “To be honest, at the end, all it came down to was choosing to live and not looking over my shoulder the rest of my life.”
