Rosie O’Donnell Engaged to Michelle Rounds (WATCH)!
Rosie O’Donnell shared some good news with her Rosie Show audience on Friday – she’s getting married! Rosie and her girlfriend Michelle Rounds plan to wed over the Holiday break, though no date has been set.
“They are engaged, but no date has been set,” O’Donnell’s rep said.
Rounds is a New York City headhunter. The pair met at a Starbucks this summer, and Rosie told Nightline‘s Cynthia McFadden in an October interview that she was attracted to Rounds from the moment she saw her.
“I thought she was a 28-year-old heterosexual girl, because that’s what she looked like to me. And she’s a 40-year-old gay woman,” O’Donnell, 49, told McFadden. ”My gaydar was way off!”
“But I think if I had known that she was gay, I wouldn’t have been brave enough to talk to her,” she added. “She’s very beautiful, it’s very strange. And she’s really lovely, and she’s very … we laugh a lot.”
O’Donnell has four children with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter, whom she was married to for three years.
A show source told Us Weekly that Rounds “is very attractive and friendly. Rosie was really proud and showing her off… They seem really happy.”
