X Factor Season Finale: Melanie Amaro, Chris Rene Extremely Weepy After Performances
After Melanie Amaro impeccably performed Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas,” they showed a video montage of her family and closest friends wishing her the best of luck and showering her with love. One of the recordings that really stuck out was the one with her father – he apologized for “not being there” for her and asked her to forgive him. Melanie was especially emotional when her grandmother from the Virgin Islands wished her luck.
Chris Rene, a former meth addict who is the show’s inspiration for changing his life, was also very tearful when watching his video of well wishes, particularly when his son appeared in the montage. Chris Rene has openly talked about his father’s passing, and how he promised him that he would make him proud right before his death. Chris’ siblings mentioned how proud his father would be of him.
I love how genuine and heartfelt the families and contestants both are, which in my opinion makes X Factor especially enjoyable to watch.
