Jeremy Renner in Brutal Bar Fight in Thailand

Jeremy Renner was involved in a brutal bar fight in Thailand. E! News reports that the Mission Impossible star was in pub in Phuket, Thailand, when six of resort employees attacked his party. The most gruesome detail: one attacker even pulled out a homemade rotor ax during the fight.

Original reports stated that Jeremy was injured, but those were later corrected. “He was at the bar when the fight broke out and he exited,” explained Jeremy’s rep who added that he was “not injured” and “not involved” in the attack. J-Ren is currently in Asia to film the new Bourne movie.

Jeremy was pub crawling with another man, two women, a driver and the general manager of Sri Panwa Resort, Vorasit Issara. Apparently, the fight broke out around 4:30 a.m. when Issara dropped a glass on the floor of the bar. After a verbal argument, six male pub employees (aged 18 to 33) attacked Issara and the rest of Jeremy’s party.

Issara has been hospitalized for serious stomach wounds, partially severed neck tendons and bruises. All six men have confessed to the attack and been charged with attempted murder.

Yeesh. Glad to hear J-Ren’s okay. Where’s Ryan Gosling when you need him?
