Why Did Heidi Klum and Seal Break Up?
What changed between Heidi Klum and Seal? Us Weekly reports that the Hollywood mega couple is splitting up after seven years of marriage (and three biological children, plus one from Heidi’s previous marriage whom Seal adopted).
The couple released the following statement about their break-up: “While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
It’s nice to hear the split is amicable, though that statement doesn’t really tell us what happened, does it? They’ve cited “irreconcilable differences” in their divorce petition.
With every announcement of divorce, suspicions of cheating are raised. Both Heidi and Klum have admitted to cheating on previous partners: Heidi told Good Housekeeping in 2011, “I’ve been cheated on. I’ve been heartbroken. I’ve broken hearts. That’s part of life, and it’s part of figuring out who you are so you can find the right partner.” Meanwhile, when Tiger Woods’ cheating scandal came out, Seal said, “I don’t condone it, but I get why he did it.” He added, “Have I cheated before? Hell, yes! Not in my marriage, but in relationships before.”
In these same interviews, Heidi and Seal gushed about each other…and what changed between them is still a mystery. One source claims Seal has been off partying at clubs more than he used to. I wonder if that’s the problem, or a symptom of it?
